Sony BRAVIA KDL-46V3000 Television - Page 7 Questions & Answers
My sony bravia has mixed colours on the left side
If its less than a year ago, Take it back, to the retailer, as there is a statutory 12 month guarantee on the majority of goods in the UK.
If its older than 12 months, you could try having a look inside the back, may be its a dodgy connection from the main AV board to the Screen, disconnect the connector have a look for any undue signs, and reconnect it at both ends.
Failing that, you may have to bite the bullet and take it to a TV repairer for them to tell you its a Dodgy AV/RF board, which are now obsolete, or you may be luckier than me.
If that is the case, try looking on ebay for AV board for you TV model/make.
Hope that helps a bit
My Sony BRAVIA KDL-46V3000 Television has messed
This also happened to me and may continue to get worse... If it goes away for a while after warming up, then it is the same problem... The LCD panel is probably going out, when that happens the cost to repair it is more than the tv is worth... If it is in warranty then you can have it replaced or fixed.
Vertical lines on sony kdl-46v3000 bravia lcd tv
i have the same problem, apparently the LCD panel needs to be replaced and this will cost more than the tv is worth... Advice is to not buy a sony again, because this is a common problem and they wont extend the warranty, even if its 2 weeks after it runs out...
Is it safe to turn the volume up all the way
no - the resistance in the tiny voicecoil will heat up rapidly, and blow.
3/4 gain is the approximate "safe zone" for any speaker at "full volume"

6 blinks indicates broblem with florecent backlighting. Check and tighten screws on the inverter boards. There are two boards on the upper left and right. Check that the connectors are in good. Check the pins in the connectors that the wires are attached good. This is a start. If this is under a year old or close to that have seviced under mfc warr. Call sony if expired they may help.
42" plasma television with a cracked screen
The plasma panel will cost almost as much as the set is worth. With the price of these sets coming down it is possible it would cost more than you origionally paid. The boards are worth quite a bit and in high demand so dont discard the set without stripping it out. If you dont want to go thru the trouble take it to a shop they will buy it as is.
No Closed Captions
hi i had the same problem with my sony kdl-40v2500 with the comcast cable box.The fixing is you have to do it through cable box.Leave your tv on and turn your cable box off and hit the menu button twice on the remote repeat in till you see cable menu on the screen and you can eneble-desable the caption through there
My screen has been perfect for the past year or so
What that can be is loose or corroded connections. It can also be a internal hardware problem but I wouldn't panic just yet.
Unplug all of the connections from the back of the tv. And to make sure you really should undo it at both ends. In other words take the cable off of the back of the tv and off of the xbox for example. Then simple plug everything back in. Don't over tighten or force any connector. If the problem is what I think it is then this will either clean up the problem a bit or fix it entirely.
What can happen is a connection will get loose or corrode and the ground part is no longer that good. That will show up as both lines or static in the screen.
Past that point it is likely to be a internal problem likely a capacitor or a ground going bad and allowing stray signals (aka noise) into the picture. If you have warranty this should be covered.
Cracked LCD Screen
its cheaper, and this is honest as it happened to me as well it's cheaper to buy a new tv.
3 year old threw drumstick, and hit the screen
Unfortunately he has damaged the screen, the only way to fix this is to have the screen replaced, this can cost almost the price of a new TV. If you have home contents insurance you could possible put in a claim for accidental damage.
My boss has a cracked screen on his Samsung DLP
My Samsung parts source (tritronicsinc.com) shows that either screen would cost $180 plus shipping, but neither screen is available from Samsung any more. If the company you contacted actually has these, they may be your only option. Hopefully, the costs that you are being quoted also include installation.

Just cracked my brother's tv screen when
The good news is it won't cost as much as a new set! Why? because he has a DLP model, not LCD.
It has two screens, one is called the Fresnel and the other Lenticular. Each one is about $180.00, none of my distributors have them so that's the bad news. I will give you the part numbers and start doing your homework.
Lenticular-- BP67-00183A--Rear
Freznel -- BP67-00183A--Front
