Sony BRAVIA KDL-46V3000 Television - Page 5 Questions & Answers
No Picture no sound screen
I'm assuming that your signal input is good and you have tried connecting to a cable box, DVD, or game system (make sure you try more than one input and more than one source).
If the TV doesn't recognize any input it will go into a power save mode if this option is turned on in the menu. This will in turn shut the TV off and looks like a malfunction.
If the power light is coming on, signal input is good, but no other functions are working the most logical explanation would be your video main board has failed. Some people may tell you the problem is in the power supply but that is incorrect. This isn't a very difficult repair but I would still let a technician look at it before buying the board as it is costly.

Hello,
The reason your television is having distorted vision and screen going black with sound is because there is a problem inside the unit. This problem could be caused by either a bad lamp or a faulty t-com board.
My best bet is the lamp, because it is when the lamp start developing any fault it begins the distorted screen thing and coming up black.
What you hsve to do is to get a replacement lamp, open up the television and replace the lamp with a new one, after doing that your television will be in good condition once again.
Take care and good luck

Panels do not crack "by itself". Did it come out of the box like this? If it was "hidden damage" they may reconsider. Think about it, in physics, something only gets cracked or damage when pressure is applied, either by force, temperature or improperly mounting.
MY SONY BRAVIA TELEVISION SCREEN GOES DARK AND
If it's new it was made sort of ruined. The people who made this T.V. didn't put the color cards in perfectly so the cards just turn on off on off intell the T.V.color pockets are equal. There isn't so many things you could do about it but the best thing to do is just tell the people where you got this T.V. that it turns dark and back. If they don't do anything I guess your stuck with it. I had a T.V. that did that too. We got rid of it because it just bothered sooo it's just up to you.
We hope you have an answer and solution to our
Hi Andrew,
The failure with your LCD is with a defective T-Con also called LCD controller board but is some cases it could also be a defective screen. The cheaper way for the time being would be to replace the T-Con board and hopefully that should fix it. If after replacing the T-Con board the LCD still fails then the screen is way to expensive to replace, the cost of a new screen would cost the same as buiyng another LCD or more.
Check
this link to find the T-con board.
This board is located in the upper middle part of the LCD cover with a metal shield.
