I have a Westinghouse Mod. SK-19H210s that is 16 months old. It would not turn on. Upon investigationg the problem I discovered bad capacitors on the power board. (2200uf and 1000uf). I replaced the components and the TV works great, you can purchase a new power board.

your tv has a bad electrolytic cap rather easy to replace it only has 2 legs to unsolder.
location number CE105 its a round can thats swollen at the top.value is 2200 MF at 10 volt replace it with 2200 MF at 16 volt

You should never try to connect any cables when the devices are on. Always try to connect inputs or outputs after switching the devices off manually. Looks like the input port has gone bad. Try switching off the monitor, removing the plug and leaving it for 48 hours and retry. If you notice problems still, it is better to refer it to a qualified service technician.

look for capacitors that have a bulging top instead off being flat probably the 2200uf 10v cap

The wire from the main video board to the LCD screen goes bad after a while. I don't know where to find a replacement?

The problem that you will run in to on this unit is the LIPS board. Normally what tends to happen is that one of the transformers on this board will leak and it will kill the board. You can repair this one of two ways, one you can replace the transformer but you have to know how to solder since you will need to unsolder the damaged transformer and solder in a new one. You can normally enter the part # of the transformer which is located on the top part of it and you can find them for about $30 each. Option two would be to purchase the board and do a part swap. Option two is the simple way of getting it repair specially if you are not that technical. You can find and order the whole board by calling the Westinghouse toll free number at 1800-701-0680 and selection option 2 for the parts department. Hello Sir, hi, No, the wirings are fine, as long as you haven't open up the TV's back cover. Now as for the blue thingy, there is a definite problem with the power supply, regardless of what parts are bad, we usually replaces the entire power board. This power supply board is way beyond repair for a regular person, a technician is needed here. If you want to do the service yourself here are the POSSIBLE trouble area.

• check for loose boards and bad contacts.
