It could be related to an application "corrupt data" or faulty printer firmware, or the formatter board or other associated hardware or accessory. The first step in troubleshooting this error is to isolate the printer from any computer source - disconnect from any I/O ports, Network/USB etc... Power cycle the printer. Hello Bruno, Have you tried another Toner Cartridge in the printer? This is the first step in trouble shooting this problem. I will assume for now that you have and the problem remains. The possible problems could be 1 - the electrical contact going from the printer to the toner cartridge. 2 - The contacts going from the printer to the HVPS (High Voltage Power Supply). 3 - The HVPS itself. The most likely case would be the contacts in the printer itself. if the toner is removed the contacts can be seen in the cavity on the left side approx half way into the printer. You could use a vacuum only and clean with a soft paint brush to remove and toner, dust and debris that may have accumulated there. If after this cleaning the problem remains, I would recommend an HP Certified Technician be contacted for further servicing. In the USA dealer locations near you
