I have problem with hp laserjet p3005 with paper

If you are getting jams in the fuser, then there may be paper stuck in there, or the roller sleeve is damaged or the drive gear could be bad. You are going to have to take the rear cover off to look at the fuser.
Someone trained is going to have to remove the fuser to inspect it.

My printer (P3005 PCL6) is

Hi

HP describes these as 49.XXXX errors (without the suffix numbers after the . (dot)). The general description is that a critical firmware error has occurred, but it's usually not firmware, especially if the printer has been fine until recently.

Usually it's corruption in the print stream for a particular print job, so it could be the program (does this happen with print jobs from a particular application or from all applications; have you installed new software or upgraded it recently for the application that causes the error if it's always the same application?), the driver (have you recently upgraded it?), data corruption in the connection to the printer (bad network or USB cable, etc.), or maybe the firmware.

If they're random, and you can clear them and bring the printer back to ready by clearing the print job out of the spooler, turning off the printer, then turning it on again, it's most likely corrupt data in a print job introduced by one or more of the factors above. If they're infrequent and not too much of a bother, you can just do that.

More information - here's an HP support document on troubleshooting 49.XXXX errors:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=110&prodSeriesId=83436&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesI
d=83436&objectID=c01558499

Sometimes but rarely, they can be corrected with a firmware upgrade IF your model's firmware is flashable, and IF the problem is in the list of fixes.

Approach upgrading firmware cautiously since a firmware upgrade that doesn't install correctly can render the printer inoperable until you replace the firmware dimm with a new one.

To check for an available upgrade, go to hp.com.

Click Support & Drivers.

Select "Download drivers and software (and firmware)".

In the text box, type your model, ie: laserjet 2420d in your case.

Click the arrow button to the right of the text box.

At the next screen, pick your specific model if it's not already selected.

At the next screen, If a link named Cross operating system (BIOS, Firmware, Diagnostics, etc.) is there, the firmware is flashable. Click it.

If it's not, you would have to buy a new firmware dimm from HP to upgrade the firmware.

Important - At the next screen, do not click on the Download button. Instead, click the named link for the firmware for your operating system.

At the next screen, select the Read me tab. That contains all the information from all tabs.

Important - The cautious part: Look for your specific error in the Fixes list in the Readme tab information. If it's not there, I'd recommend not installing new firmware.

You can also contact HP directly for help. Just click your country here:

http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/wwcontact_us.html

I understand they now charge for phone support, but that chat and email support are still free.

if my solution is helpful you then give me thumb

Thank you for contacting FixYa with your printer inquiry.
This is a common problem. The device can be set to print from tray 1 if it is loaded, or to print only from tray 1 if the type of media selected is other than standard bond.
Pull out tray 2 and make sure the paper size adjustments are properly set to match your size of paper. If you are using std bond and the adjustments are set to A-4 it won't pull paper.

I have a HP laserjet

The problem is most likely with your fuser which is located in the rear of the printer. You may want to remove the fuser to inspect it for visible damage to determine whether it need to be replaced or not. broyyce.pngWhile looking at the back of the printer, pull the rear output door open. Push the door down to disengage the rear door stops (1). You will need a phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws on each side of the rear cover. Lift the bottom of the cover first to disengage the alignment tabs at the top of the back cover, and then lift the cover away from the printer.

Remove the duplexer inlet guide by releasing two tabs (1) on the guide, and then sliding
the guide toward the back of the printer.

broyyce_0.png

Disconnect two cables at the right, inside, of the device (callout 2), and then disconnect the fuser
power cable at the left side of the device (callout 3).

broyyce_1.png

Remove three self-tapping screws (callout 4) and one grounding screw (callout 5).

broyyce_2.png

Tilt the fuser slightly toward the back of the device, and then slide the fuser out of the back of the
device. Look at the two rollers inside the fuser and turn the gear on the side as you look at it. There may be something stuck inside the printer that is causing it to malfunction. If you see and damage on the fuser you can buy a new one from http://www.lbrty.com/
Good luck and I hope this helps!

Moving an HP 3005p dn

Hi,

Yes this will work as long as the printer has a USB port on it and you have the correct drivers for the printer installed on your machine.

You may need to factory reset the printer depending on how it was set up networked.

a NVRAM initialisation resets everything in a cold reset plus serial number, page counts and EIO cards - use with caution.

0. print-off a selftest/configuration page first to reset things if necessary.
1. remove all installed accessories.
2. power off printer
3. power on printer. When the memory count begins, press and hold the "down arrow button - keep holding the "down arrow" button until all three control panel lights flash once then remain on (can take upto 10 secs)
4. Press the "Up arrow" button.
5. Press the Menu button - the display should show SKIP DISK LOAD
6. press the "UP arrow" button until NVRAM INIT is highlighted
7. Press the "tick" button - the printer continues its power-on sequence.

Hope this helps

When printing, makes a loud noise, like rattling

If the sound is coming from the back, this is likely a failed fuser bushing. If your printer has less than 150,000 copies on it, you can probably get the fuser replaced by HP under an extended service advisory they have for this product. Any service dealer can perform this free repair but you may have to make them aware that it exists.
