Phaser 8560 error code after moving printer. Error- 09,005,40:8407

The 7,010.43 error code indicates the printer is having difficulty tilting the printhead forward from the parked position to the print position. There are several printer systems involved in tilting the printhead so troubleshooting the error can be challenging. The printer does not directly sense the printhead's tilting position. Instead it applies drive current to the process drive motor, and monitors the motion of the motor's rotation encoder for "following error". For a particular drive voltage the encoder should rotate at a particular rate as the printhead (driven thru the process drive, the DM camshaft, and the head tilt gear train) tilts forward. If the printer does not see the expected encoder readings it assumes a tilt failure. for more hrlp visit CBR Tech Solutions

Xerox 8560 Maintenance Kit remaining life

You're probably lucky that your machine still works after using non-xerox products, in any event, I'd suggest a new Xerox Extended kit, it's possible the non-xerox product didn't work as intended and your replacement kit wore out faster because of it. The kit contains a micro chip which "resets' the counter in your machine, as the count comes from the kit, not the machine itself, however, the machine is capable of sensing when the maintenance kit has reached end of life regardless of count. Additionally, you should check the wiper blade (you can see it when you remove the maintenance kit) for excessive wax buildup which generally means the machine needs service. These are great printers, very fast for the quality. They can be quite a nightmare to service due to so many systems which have to be exact! My #1 advice on this product is if you own one, never ever move it while it's hot! or you could face a very expensive repair!

My Xerox Phaser 8560N has paper jams very often.

Most of these types of paper jam errors are caused by a cracked cam on the Drum Maintenance Camshaft, which throws the timing off for the whole print process. I would recommend a technician replace the camshaft because there are components that need carefully removed to avoid breaking, then they need to be properly aligned and timed when they are reinstalled. Not really a do-it-yourself repair.

I'm getting an error:

You can try using a small object like a small screw driver or pen to press in on the ink itself and it should stick to the screw driver to remove it. if you are unable to remove the ink this way, you can remove the ink loader for easier access. To remove the ink loader you will need an t20 torque screw driver. Here is a video that shows you how to remove the ink loader. Once you have the ink loader out you can turn it upside down and shake it out if it is loose, if the ink is stuck the the heating plate use a small screw driver through the space in the bottom to try to release it. Once everything is clear re-install it. If all else fails and error continues you should replace the ink loader (part#: 133K27771). Hope this helps, and thanks for using FixYa!

If strange and unlogical things happen like this, it might be an electronics lockup.
Sometimes it will help to do a factory reset of do the diagnostics.

To go to diagnostics mode:
Hold down the back and help button as the Xerox logo moves towards the center.
The machine will eventually say 'Rebooting in diagnostics'.

From there you can run more testing.
(Be patient the machine takes a while to enter diagnostic mode).

My Xerox Phaser 8560 is

Solution : Print the Troubleshooting Print Quality Pages and Make Sure the Colors Are Accurate CAUTION: Use of inks other than Genuine Xerox Solid Ink may affect print quality and printer reliability. It is the only ink designed and manufactured under strict quality controls by Xerox for specific use with this printer. The Xerox Warranty, Service Agreements, and Total Satisfaction Guarantee do not cover damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance caused by use of non-Xerox supplies, or the use of Xerox supplies not specified for this printer.
To print the Troubleshooting Print Quality pages:
  1. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button on the Control Panel to select [Troubleshooting] on the Display Screen, and then press the [OK] button.
  2. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Print Quality Problems], and then press the [OK] button.
  3. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Troubleshooting Print Quality Problems], and then press the [OK] button to print the test pages.
  4. Go through the pages and find the Light Stripes Test page.

For each color, remove an unused solid ink stick from the printer, and then use the ink stick to make a mark of color next to the corresponding color on the printed page. If the colors do not closely match, that color will need to be purged from the print head. Continue with step 6 if the colors do not closely match.
  5. NOTE: If the colors do closely match, the problem is not related to the printer's hardware. There is no hardware adjustment available on the Control Panel for calibrating individual colors.

  6. Create a document consisting of a full page (100% fill) of the color not printing correctly, or download and use one of the resource files provided in the table below. For example, if cyan ink is actually printing black, create a document that is a solid fill of cyan, or download and open the Cyan fill page provided in the table below.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to set the Print Quality mode in the print driver to "Standard" and the TekColor Correction to "None" before performing the next step. This will allow the job to purge only the problem color. Other settings may cause the printer to use a percentage of the other ink sticks.

  7. Print approximately 50 - 100 pages of the document, as necessary, until the printed color returns to normal.
IF THAT DOESN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM TRY THIS: http://www.support.xerox.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?St=156,E=0000000002703198886,K=8233,Sxi=10,Solution=obj(964)
