You need a new driver from Dell that funtions with Vista. If you have Vista X64 OS then this function may not be available for a while longer as the driver for the scanner is still in development. There is a significant difference between a 32-bit and 64-bit OS.

Have you installed the printer driver? If you did and it won't print....uninstall it and reinstall the driver.

your sending a fax from the printer using landline phone. is the printer plug in to the telephone line. if you have one phone line you can use it for internet or for faxing.

Many manufacturers are really sneaky and try to steal every dime they can from their customers. Check the expiration date on your cartridge. If its date expired the software will not recognize it. Even if its brand new, never used, if the expiry date has passed they will not allow it to work!

In this Case just unplug the Power Supply from the Printer...........
Remove both the catridges from the Printer........
Move the Catridge carrier which holds the catridge back and forth for abt 20 times as fast as u can....
Now Turn the Printer On it will work fine.........

MY PRINTER WAS PRINTING AND ERROR #1203 JUST CAME UP AND IT STOP PRINTING.

Unplug the power, Take the ink out of the carrier. Turn it on and see if it asks for it. The machine is not seeing the ink cartridges.

I had the same problem, but with the right cartridge. The only way I could get it to work was to buy a new cartridge. I don't know if it was a bad cartridge?

Good luck on this one. Chrome does this and they have not fixed it, yet. Try Firefox, it works correctly in this respect.

This printer is not a wireless rpinter, so I guess you were trying to attach it to a print server of some type.

Try using these Recommended Wireless Router Settings,I use channel 11. I would make a new SSID to make connecting easier.

If your computer came with Windows 7, then follow the procedure below. If you upgraded your computer, the did you install the chipset drivers first. If using a Dell Computer that was upgraded, the desktop/notebook system utility and the chipset drivers need installed first or the rest of the drivers will fail to install. First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.

Disconnect the printer.

Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal

Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode You'll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on).

Hello randy,
This is going to take some troubleshooting.
Please try the following, and test after each change. Hopefully we can get this working for you quickly Verify that when you hit print it under print range that only the last page is selected.
Try printing a different document, this is assuming you've been only having the issue with one document. Try printing a different type of document, using a different program such as word, notepad, or even a multi-page website.
If any of these has worked for you then it has either narrowed it down to the specific document, or the program, re install the program in question.
If none of the following has helped.
go to start/run type cmd to open the command prompt type following net stop spooler net start spooler this will restart the print spooler service.
If none of the above worked, delete the printer and reinstall. If problem persists install printer on a separate computer to verify that it works correctly.
