To do a cold reset you power on the printer while holding down the go button for about 5 seconds and then release the button. If the button is held for more then 15 seconds it may do a NVRAM reset

Sounds like your fuser is getting ready to stop working. Your fuser creates the heat so the toner from the cartridge is baked onto the paper as it passes through, your toner is rubbing off, so you could try cleaning, but I'm sure it'll be a new fuser, or possibly a fuser roller. Your owners manual has all the information and step by step trouble shooting guide to let you know.

Dead formatter is the most likely cause. These units were notorious for this failure. Move on, buy a new printer, because you have a very good chance of getting another bad formatter if you buy parts for it.

Try reinstalling printer driver. The current driver may not be correct for this printer

Give a call to hp support (877-690-9305) They will help you to resolve the issue

tooner goes to low or paper stucking any where in paper path..check for both ur problem will be resolved

5 seconds may not be quite long enough.. please see extract below from HP web site for the P2015 series. 
"On the printer, press and hold the green button for eight seconds, or until the LEDs above the button start to blink. The printer prints out the configuration pages. You will find the IP address on page 2."

Hi Raja,

This means there is an error during POST (power on self test). Please refer your manual for the error codes or light codes. If you can manage to access the machine diagnostic menu please do. Like from off position and pressing combination of buttons holding for 3 to 5 seconds and powering it on.

Please try to clean the paper feed rollers.

Hi Terry Use a Flashlight and check carefully. There is probably a simple Infra Red Light source shining across a gap and being blocked from the sensor. The wires on the back of the Light source & IR Sensor are the giveaway. It thinks it's blocked!.... They can't really think, just a switch! Could be a switch also but a IR Detector is more likely. Remove the toner cartridge and use a source of high pressure air to blow out. Obviously the sensor could be broken... Usually Not the case!
