Yes you can but it won't be Hi def. It sounds like you're trying to connect the cables to the Hi def input (Red, blue, green, white and red for the audio) That's not the right place to connect to.

I just got one from a guy named Steve in Santa Barbara. He has at least one more. See eBay by searching for a similar model with a broken screen. FYI, all of the FC-20b... series seem to use the same stand. Good luck

You have a few options actually. depending on which 360 you have you have at least 3 ways to connect; 4 if you have CDMI cable output on Elite 360. you only need to pick one though. easiest is the plug with one yellow and a red and white. the yellow is the video and the red and white are the left and right audio. You can use the red green blue plugs choice if your tv has that input. in that case the red green blue are the video and you use the other paired red white for audio. You can use the S video connection (the round one that looks like a mouse plug) for video. You can use the HDMI (flat, looks like giant USB slot) for really high quality video. Used the tv remote.Push the menu button.Now u are tv menu.Goto SETUP,go down to CH SETUP push enter on the tv remote.Pick AIR not Cable and push enter on the remote again.Now tv go in auto scanning.After it is done searching all cannels,ur tv will get all the free DTV air broadcasting channels.

You may have dying power due to bad DC filter caps, look for caps with leaking/bulging top first.

So, it is nearly always my professional opinion that one should always get a "Quote" from the manufacturers recommended service center, Sharp in your case, please contact a local or head office and ask for a referral to an Authorised service center. I cannot stress how important that last point is. It is even worth the cost of shipping. You see an authorised service agent, will have trained staff, trained on their brand, also they have first hand access to parts, original parts. This will actually save you money and ensure you can actually get it back fixed. Of course asking for a "Quote" also gives on the option of repair or replace. Often my clients,do not go through with repair, unless it is moderate, but in some of the more costly jobs they see it, as do i, that a replacement, with a warranty, is a better option. As an aside here, one could then tear the TV down, and sell the Known Good bits. You'd be surprised who needs parts, i myself often must by from third party sources to effect a repair. So money could be recouped, somewhat,and help out someone else.

Back light invertor unit require replacement.

You referring to lcd control board witch never causes sound problem. If lcd control fail, your TV will power up, back light will turn on and sound will work just fine. Only video would be missing. Part number is correct but missing last 2 simbols. (last symbol usually engraved on white rectungle)

The cauases:

1.A decoder going out
2. no signal from tuner
3. bad capcitor

Now these 3 things are some causes you might find something else being the cause such as a bad signal cable witch would rule out these 3 and thus seem that I am passing wroung information. When rating keep this in mind I am not physically there to check the unit. ?Do not shoot the helper please do rate.

Try reseting sound settings in sound menu

Right now your TV is in " Protection Mode " because of a failed part inside. The blinking red light is a error trouble code. Only someone with the actual Service Manual for the TV will know what the code means. Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. It's possible that it maybe a bad capacitor or transformer on the power supply board. The most common board to go bad is the Backlight Inverter Board. It what supplies power to the screen. But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. I can only make guesses with the symptoms.

You have a few choices:
1. You can try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 - 45 minutes so the TV can discharge and reset itself.
2. If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.
3. If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you red light blinking codes, circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists.Usually, cost under $20. And most cases the new part cost less than $15.
4. Pay a TV shop to do the repairs. It maybe costly, but get an estimate of how much they will charge. That way you can decide if it worth repairing or replacing the whole TV.

This unit should be under warranty. DO NOT open it up as that would void the warranty. I would try and see if there is a pattern to when the sound fades. This will be helpful to the service center. At the very least, log a service call stating that the problem is intermittant. Then if the problem goes away on its own, but re-appears after the warranty is over, you should still receive warranty coverage.
