Test the TV with different inputs, as many as possible, whatever you have: antenna, cable or satellite box, DVD player, game box. Sound only missing with one input? You've partially solved it--check for a bad jack, cable, or source.

Sound missing on everything? If you have a headphone jack, insert the headphone plug in and out vigorously several times. A contact may be stuck in the open position on the back of the jack.

If picture plays, but no sound comes from the Mintek Combo device, first increase the volume to ensure that no sound plays at any volume level. If watching a station on television, change the channel to make sure the issue is not related to the television station. If you still experience problems, check the rear for loose audio input cables. Additionally, check the sound options in the "Menu" to ensure that the "Second Audio Program" or "SAP" sound option has not been activated.

More than likely you are going to have to go to the manufacturer for the screen. With that said the only thing that might hold you back is the price of the new screen. They cost almost as much as a new set. It may be time for that new set.

None of them will because this tv is newer than the remote : when the remote was being designed and its codes stored the tv was not designed yet so its codes could not have been added to the remote's collection.
All you are left to do is to perform a code scan, maybe one of the codes destined for another brand of tv will partially match yours and give you basic control. If even that fails there is nothing else to do - this remote doesn't have any codes matching your tv. You will have to buy and use another universal remote if you still want to use a single remote for both devices.

That problem is usually cause of bad/faulty capacitors on the power supply board..So you have a better chances and easily locating the faulty capacitors if it is look like leak/bulged on the top..

So please try to follow this instruction on how to do that..
1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter..
