Hello! I need help!
My Brother printer - DCP-135C
I've changed all inks include the colours.
I able to print the Red, blue and yellow. But I can't print the Black.
I've tried pressed the cleaning option for many times.. Please advise some help.

This page at Brother tells you what to do. They say support for the DCP-385 is already in WIndows 7 and you just need to go through the process to add the printer. They also offer an updated Solutions Center (their integrated printer control software) for Windows 7. Download and install this to take advantage of their printer utilities.

Please select the Operating System which you have installed in the computer like Windows 7 or Windows XP. Then select language as English or whichever you like and Click that search button to get all the Drivers of the Brother DCP-130C All-In-One Ink Jet Printer. Download and install it in the Computer. Please backup the downloaded Drivers for future use.

I would check if the cable i right inserted. try to install it on another computer. If it works you will know that there is not a problem with your printer but with your computer. Try different USB ports, maybe one is defect. You can also check that you dont have a firewall that blocks the connection to the computer. Hope that will fix the problem.

If it is running on windows xp then you can log on into safe mode and remove the password from the admin account. Following are the steps listed to do so:
1. Turn on the computer and keep tapping F8 and it will show some options. 2. Select safe mode. 3. Log on using Admin. 4. Go to control panel by clicking start. 5. Then go to user accounts and remove the password from the account you are trying to log in with.

When you click on print, click on print preferences. As shown in image below.


On the preferences window click on Paper Quality tab and click on black and white. As shown below.


Click on OK and then click on print.



Note: Few new printers wont print till you replace the empty cartridges.

Go to the Brother Support site here.

Download the "Current Driver Un-installation tool"

Follow the directions in the uninstaller.
Reboot

Download the Current Driver (4/21/2011) and install it. Follow the installation instructions. If you have done all of this and it is still not working, let me know.

Please uninstall the your printer driver and install again and chose the preference language English

Did you try uninstalling the printer driver and software before reinstalling it? That should remove any printer driver-specific language preference settings. What OS are you using?

I had thought to have you look for Zunge in die Einstellungen menu, but since there is no language setting in the English preferences, there probably will not be any in the German version either.
