why dont you try to uninstall and reinstall the sound driver again and the sound and audio are in the classic view under the phone and modem icons

Sounds like the backlight is faulty or has failed, you can get a replacement for £15 or less.

This is generally cause by a driver glitch. Go into the device manager and unistall the wireless drivers, then reboot. It will find the wireless hardware and reinstall the drivers.

Did a websearch and found this tech note from HP: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...77&lc=en&cc=us. Called HP and they will fix it under warranty.

You should inform the customer about the warranty coverage. You have to let them know that onece the warranty expires they will be limitted for any support any computer manufacturer does have that kind of policy. IF they have reported the issue before the warranty ends they should still be entitled for any support or possible repair you can do but they we're not able to report it before warranty expired it's their responsibility to take actions with the system. I believe all computers got initial 1 year warranty for it .

have you tried using the fn + f4 button with the projector attached?

After you press the power on button, press F8 and select restore to factory from the menu that appears. This will re-install all the original software that came with the machine. This assumes you have not destroyed the restore Directory. If yo have this software on a Cd or DVD then put the disc in the drive, shutdown the computer and restart. That will cause the computer to read the disc at boot up and give you this option screen as well, again assuming you have not changed the boot sequence in the BIOS.

If it's really legal you can call microsoft they will help you.

Hi there, you can download you sound driver by clicking this link.

You have a corrupt mouse/touchpad driver. Go to the control panel / Device manager (In XP device manager is in the "system" folder. Under devices, scroll down to mouse, right click on the touchpad and uninstall it and the drivers for it. Reboot the computer and make sure it is connected to the internet.Windows will recognize the new hardware and search for the appropriate driver.

if you cannot install the sound driver, then the next best solution is

connect it to the USB port and connect the sound cables to the audio port in that....
it will get back ur sound...
