You will need to jailbreak your iphone first. Best to use www.ibrickr.com which allows the jailbreak and uploading of applications and custom rings. I have some other software which does this but not as elegantly as ibrickr.

this will empty your contacts list, since all contacts are stored in those two files.

If you want to get frre ringtones off the computer for you i phone then go to youtube and type in ringtones for Iphone and it will show you a variety of clips you can choose from, when you find the one you like, follow it along. You sheould get your ringtones soon after that.
