Vibration when using the Sony Cyber-Shot dsc-t20

Well, it seems that this is either a manufacturing defect or a defective/sub-standard part being used in the product. It would do Sony well to address this problem immediately so that all of us Sony lovers would continue to believe in their products. If this can be solved via a firmware upgrade then I hope Sony can guide us through it.

How can i solve sony T20 Camera E 62.02

It looks like it has something to do with the memory card: After removing it and turning the camera back on, it worked again. I reformated the card, but maybe it's a hardware issue (dirty memory connectors?).

My camera vibrates like a ceel phone on start ... but it stop vibrating in isweep panorma mode

I wanted to ask, if you are sure nobody is calling you, but I'm not sure you would understand the joke. So let me try again. I saw you camera has a music function and this question is serious. Ar you sure nobody is playing a joke with you, by switching on this function to automatic? Look into the menu where you find music (in my manual page 47) and check if everything is off and not in automatic with a sound.

Vibrations begin when turned on

Sony has discovered that some DSC-T20 and T300 Cyber-shot cameras sold in the United States may experience an issue with abnormal internal vibration and an inability to properly focus and take pictures. For cameras affected by this issue, Sony will provide free repair until July 17, 2011. In certain units, the lens cannot adjust properly due to a mechanical failure in the lens mechanism. When the automatic features of the camera attempt to adjust the lens, the camera body vibrates, preventing it from properly focusing or taking pictures.
if you have any problem regarding this issue post a comment information about the problem.we will glad to assist you

good luck

I HAVE A SONY DIGITAL CAMERA DSC T-20 AND HAVING

Hello and Welcome

The symptoms of this error is
  • After pressing the power button in capture mode, the lens would extend and a slight humming from what appeared to be the auto focus motor could be heard for about 5 seconds. When the motor stopped humming, the camera would beep and display E:61:00 in the LCD Screen.
  • Camera would extend the lens but not be able to focus on anything past 8 inches or so.
  • Zoom in and zoom out would not work.
  • Playback mode and the Setup mode was not affected.
To solve this
Put the camera about a half inch from a hard surface.
Let the lense go out and hit the surface and retract a little bit. Let it go out all the way when it tries the next time.
If that doesnt fix it, try this:
Turn it on and let the lense go out fully
See where the lens comes out of the camera? The little round crack that surrounds it? Wiggle the lense a bit and blow in there a bit. (Be sure not to blow on the lense!)

Now turn it off/on again, and it should be fixed

I hope it will be Helpful for you.

Copy picture from camera to computer

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

My camera used to flash

The non-functioning of the camera can be a fault/jamming in the shutter, zoom or auto focus sections and may be due to the mechanical failure of the drive. A simple was is to reset and we can try by removing the battery and card for some time. Now replace only the battery and while switching power ON, tap the lens hood on the palm of your hands so as to disengage any dirt or mechanism being struck. You can spray a degreasing spray on the lens hood sides and also assist the lens as it tries to come out, attempt to pull it out slowly while powering ON the camera. Also in some cases you can slid a thin film/paper on the lens hood sides to wipe out any dirt .

Tips to open and check for common faults:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2Mj3Qp3xYU&feature=related Use some air to blow between the lens to dislodge any sand particles struck inside. Unless you are familiar with handling of small devices must the camera be opened. If so check the voltage on the motor drive, check the auto focus and Zoom drives, it must be free with manual movement. If jammed the motor can be removed and released.

Since an estimate was taken and found to be high the only way out if you are equipped is to carefully overhaul the mechanism settings.

Thank You for using Fixya
