You probably have an external keyboard attached to the laptop at some point yes?

Easiest way to fix is attach an external keyboard and disable # lock.

Or on your keyboard.. use the FN key and hold it while you press the key on your laptop that has NUM or # on it. Look at the lights on the laptop to see if NUM LOCK is enable.

Sorry,, don't understand the problem. Do you have the software disk to reinstall, you must not or you would reinstall it i guess.Or is it a program that came with the computer such as a package deal and the software or program was pre installed on the pc. If that is the case go to either the pc or camera manufacturer's website and find your camera driver and download it and install it. OR go to START MENU > open ALL PROGRAMS > open HELP & TOOLS and you should see 'APPLICATION RECOVERY' look for the driver software there, if it was pre installed that is.

And the writing says? Does the writing give you boot options? Cold start the laptop and try again leave battery out.

you need to buy a new jack for replacement. then solder the broken one out of the mainboard and clean the place and solder the new one. or some acer have a separet jack then that one is easy only to change.

click start menu, click all programs, look for Acer and click on it. Then click Acer E recovery. in a few seconds a window will come up. click the restore option in the left hand menu.
