My pc still shows my camera as a live device but does not respond on connection and does not import any pictures. Why? What do i do to correct please?

If the camera saves to a memory card try plugging that into your pc instead of going through the camera.

Kodak easyshare driver download for c653

Do you really need a driver? The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Memory card problems

Can you remove the card, and put it into a PC or laptop with a reader or do you have a reader so you don't loser what's on the card ?If the card freezes the camera, you need to plug this card into a PC and do a quick format. Then try it in camera, if it doesn't freeze the camera you need to format the card with the camera.Remember, the manual say's only 1g cards max, most non SDHC are 2g, but the manual say's only 1g.So if the card is bigger then 1g, this can be the problem.

Camera takes pictures without memory card but won't when memory card is in, why

What type and size memory card? The C653 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. Even though SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work with this camera.

Black and white

Change the color mode to "Black & White". See this page of the user guide. You might want to consider taking color photos and waiting to convert to black & white until you get them on a computer. Converting on a computer gives you much more control over factors such as contrast and luminescence.

How do I add the time to my picture

The date and time (and a lot more) are automatically stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

How do i take pictures of christmas lights so they are clear

The camera is having problems focusing. Try focusing on a bright object hold the shutter button half way down to lock the focus then frame your image and press the shutter to take the photo. If this does not work then try manual focus.

I cant not download video from my kodak Easyshare C653 to my desktop

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO COMPUTER If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.
