The nozzles are block, this is cause be periods on non use. The print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

I HAVE A CANON PIXMA780 IT HAS NO POWER GOING TO

Hi,

Have you checked if there is any loose contact in cables ? Check the cables connectivity.

Remove the plug from the surge protector or wall jack and try connecting it to another location.

If none of this works, it could be a detective power adapter ( the black box ) on the power cable. See if you have spare one or can find one to diagnose and know if it is the power adapter issue or the printer is dead.

IF your printer is In Warranty, you should contact Canon Support as they can provide you replacement without charges.

Regards,
Ron

My MP960 will not take the paper in from any end.

Hello there You may not see a paper jam.
This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.

That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.
