Total replacement of power cable and plug. you will need to buy new flex and plug. normally two core flexible (multicore not solid core) cable.

Open up the rear case to the tv and keep all screws. DO NOT touch the end of the tv tube as high voltage lingers a while after unplugging. You are looking / tracking the power cable where it fits to the tv motherboard.

Take a standard solder iron and remove each cable in turn. noting the colour and positions. Prepare your new cable feeding it into the casing and motherboard to suit. Apply flus and solder to secure each new cable in place. Hold cable while it sets and cools. CHECK there is no solder connecting these cables together for obvious reason these DO NOT connect together.

Replace casing and all screws in reverse order.

You should have a good to go new cable and a tv working fine.
