1 - Leave the printer , turned on for sometime . 2 - open the door of the printer and take the cartridges out of the print head . 3 - Connect the cartridges again 4- Shut down the printer , wait for 2 minutes and then power it back on. and try printing .. Hope that will certainly work.

48:00 error is a PPS(Paper to paper space) system failure.You need a trained tech to look at the machine.The PPS solenoid cable could be damaged. Could be a bad PPS solenoid or a bad print mech

Only way that I know how is to replace the cartridge with one that has a good date.

The Flash is deemed to be successful, as the firmware has updated so too you need to download and install the latest drivers available for your printer. Currently the drivers you have got can not recognize the printer in it's updated firmware state and therefore shows that it has malfunctioned.

Firmware updating is some-thing that I prefer to stay away from.

If you still have no joy after installing the latest drivers, take your printer to a printer technician.
Your printer is not cheap and a bad firmware update will render it useless. Rather get a professional to program it.
