First off..Law has it that Printer Manufactures can not restrict their machines from using cartridges from other vendors. So you can purchase less expensive carts from the likes of www.inkjets.com. Why bother refilling when they are so cheap and the carts are actually new. Carts with print-heads built in are tested and work great. When line appear, the print head is plugged up. You may simply have a cartridge with ink that fits into a separate Print Head and locks into place. If so, that Print head is no good. It should be replaced, or run under very hot water for 10 minutes, both sides, until no ink is visible. Dry on a soft towel and do not touch the metal parts. Replace and do a printer test. That's it.
