Battery shows empty with new batteries

Take a look in your camera's menus. There should be a place where you can select rechargeable or non-rechargeable batteries. That setting enables or disables the battery charging circuit. If you are using rechargeable batteries, the camera must be set accordingly so that the battery charger will turn on. If you are using Alkaline batteries such as Duracell or other types of non-rechargeable batteries the charger must be disabled. If you do not set that parameter correctly, you will get the symptoms you describe.

Is Mac Yosemite system compatible with the driver for this camera?

If you plug the camera in to a USB port it shouldn't need a driver. It should come up as another drive regardless of OS.

I formatted by mistake the card attached

With the help of technology, yes. There is still a way for you to recover it. Download this software, install to your computer and then follow the instructions on how to recover your files.

By the way, until you have not recovered the files, please make sure that you will not use the card and store more photos on it. This is to help you ensure that you would still get the photos you need on the formatted card.

Here is one of the many softwares you can use for data recovery:

My pentax optio m20 wont

Take out the batteries and clean contacts with alcohol and a Q-tip the long ones like a doctor uses are better. If the batteries are more than two years old I would replace them. I take it that this camera probably uses AA. Reg. Alkaline batteries would be alright just to try it with if you get it working then I would put a set of lithium batteries in it as these last far longer. You can also buy rechargeable AA batteries. If it has a lithium L-Ion rechargeable battery pack and it is several years old you may want to buy a new one for it. There is several reasonable sellers on Ebay with the proper battery for your camera. If this don't solve your problem I would say the camera is done. In my experience these new cameras just don't last as long as the old manual film cameras.

Need newer version for pentex software S-SW58

Why do you need newer software? Updates don't come, beacuse a camera stops taking pictures or having problems. Most updates are little improvements for cameras that still work correct.Try to discribe what is wrong with your camera. Perhaps you need something els to solve the problem.

Water in camera

Remove the batteries and let it dry for good. To be sure all the damp on electronics evaporated. Put the camera on warm place (not to hot). You need to open all doors (SD card, battery etc..) even back cover to let the damp go out. Blowing dry air may accelerate the drying process. Install batteries when you sure all the water trapped inside has evaporated completely.

How to i get pictures from my camera to my computer?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
