Pentax Optio P80 battery won't charge all the way
If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

Ritzpix sandisk write protected
You didn't specify the type of memory card, so I'm going to assume it's either an SD or an SDHC card.SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.By the way, RitzPix and SanDisk are trademarks of two completely different companies. Something cannot be both a RitzPix and a SanDisk.

Download pictures to computer
You don't need any special software. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as iPhoto on Mac and Windows Photo Gallery on Windows. There are also plenty of other photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".

Memory card in camera says
I think that you're using a Mac: on this OS you have to empty the recycle bin when the memory card is plugged in, if this doesn't work, the simplest way is to format the card!
Tell us if you've solved!
