I have an aftermarket Clarion NX501 in my 2010 Camaro. If I want to add Sirius XM programming, do I use the original radio number on the VIN or is there a NEW radio number that Links to the NX501?

Any numbers on the car's VIN are related to factory fitted equipment only. To receive Sirius Satellite Radio on the NX501, you can connect the optional SC-C1 Sirius Connect Universal Vehicle Tuner 607SCC1 directly to the head unit's Sirius direct connection (no proprietary interface required), although this is no longer available, or try https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_91789_SiriusXM-SXV300v1-70-Rebate-3-Months-FREE.html

Why can't I get Reception on my Sirius XM stations when I'm parking in my shop building?

I bet your shop has a metal roof. The radio signal from the Sirius satellite can not get through that.

the car must have a sirius XM radio built in. Then you call Sirius and tell them its a new car and they will move it.
