I had to re-install Version 1.1 of My Sirius Studio from original CD that came with my Stilletto 100 as the most recent Version of My Sirius Studio did not recognize my Stilletto when I plugged the USB into my PC, when I re-installed Version 1.1 over the newer version, I shut down the Stilletto by holding down the power swith for 5 seconds then powered back up while holding down the Options and Display buttons at same time until the screen asked me to plug the USB cable into PC to recover. I did this and about 5 minutes later the the software/firmware was re-installed in my SL 100. I then plugged SL 100 into antenna and selected satellite radio, took about 1 minute to re-aquire the station ID's and Icons then I selected Sirius Hits 1 then everythings was back to normal, other than I lost all of my stored songs and recordings, but at least my SL 100 is operational again.

can I suggest you start using mp3 files (you might be enjoying the wma.files..but wma files are very large as compare to mp3 files) you have much more files and alot of space for storage....you can covert your old files (http://download.cnet.com/Free-Mp3-Wma-Converter/3000-2140_4-10442362.html) and start saving the new one when ask to save as mp3 instead of wma

I have owned several "stilleto" models, including the S100, S200, and the S50. I bought the protection plan through Circuit City (now useless), because I went through 3 of these units in as many months.
I am sorry to say but you are out of luck. The solder that binds your headphone jack to the circuit board has been compromised and the unit is an injection molded unit that makes it very difficult to disassemble and repair.
You may be able to find a local repair shop that still does this kind of work, and may be able to help you, but otherwise you have an expensive piece of junk on your hands. I have had heard of several reports of people contacting Sirius directly and complaining, and potentially getting a deal on a new unit, or even a free unit, due to a malfunctioning unit.

Your only other solution is to some how plug the headset in, and pull the cord in a direction that allows for both headsets to function. Once in the is position, keep it there by taping (or elastic banding) down the cord so the jack keeps pressure in that position.

Try docking the unit without the battery attached. The unit will recycle and that may solve the problem. You will, however, need to continue to dock the unit without the battery...

Double check your signal strength during the time of day your recording sounds like classic signal drop. Could also be software issue or memory issue. itunes will not recognize the stiletto 2 as a device, but Windows Media player works or you can also transfer MP3's from Windows Explorer. Just click and drag.

I also own a Stiletto 2 and I have noticed this same problem, but only when playing MP3's in my car. What I have found is that if the volume on the Stilletto is too high it creates distortion. The solution is to turn down the volume on the actual Stilletto and just use the volume on the car stereo. Problem solved everytime.

I hope this doesn't seem like a dumb question, but are you driving a different route and do you lose your signal when going under bridges, heavy tree cover etc.?

This Stiletto 100 needs a firmware upgrade. The reason why this is happening it's because the device has a corrupted program.

Most electronic devices usually freezes up, won't turn off or won't turn off, this is an indication of a program problem.

Contacting the manufacturer and have them re-flash or upgrade the firmware of it would be the best thing to do. Because only the manufacturer knows what's the version of firmware that would work best with your device.

Go to ebay and look under Stiletto Wheel. A guy in Maine will fix it for $24.95. I overnighted it to him on Monday and got it back on Friday. It works perfectly, well worth it.

There is a guy in Maine who says he can fix it. It is available through ebay. Put in Stiletto 100 in the search field and he comes up under "Broken Wheel Repair Service". Cost is $24.95. I'm going to give it a try.

There is a button on the remote labeled "tune" when you push this it will display direct tune on the receiver. You can then enter the channel. It should stay in that mode unless you push the band button again. Hope this helps

make sure your 1/8th in Aux connector is inserted all the way at both ends.

Is it set for auto shut down? It took me months to properly record with this thing, frustrating at best. Now it's almost flawless. Go in to menu then settings then dock. In that menu you will see "Auto Shutdown". If this is on, your receiver will shut off after 4 hours only when plugged into the car dock. When on a home dock it will stay on. Turn this off and it will stay on until you shut down. Auto shutdown is the default setting. If for some reason you receiver is reset, you will need to check this setting again, because it will turn auto shutdown on again. Hope this helps.

take out ur battery and put them back in.hope it will help

Just plug in the usb wire and wait a few minutes and see if new down load comes on your pc.Download it.You'll lose all recorded info.They say buy a new 1 when they're not sure whats up.Don't think many are trained.It's like a pc it bogs down .screws up.Needs up dates etc. union k

Did you try the back ,off radio slot too.Also check contacts andturn it off anlet it come on,let it charge with opening (dog and stars),Good Luck. union kk
