Most generic inks will not work in this machine, If you are using genuine HP ink, you have gotten a bad printhead, if you are using generic ink you may have just ruined a new printhead.

Please follow these steps:

Software issue. Contact MS since HP will do nada for you since it is not a printer problem. Maybe your excel program is not really compatible with Win 7. Check it out.

I recommend getting a Canon Printer. I had an HP but I was having trouble with the print cartridges also. So, I bought a new printer.

when installing the drivers turn off the antivirus software. download the latest drivers from HP, also down load the HP software on the main software page. this is the latest HP firmware and diagnostic firmware.

Delete and reinstall a printer driver and then go into the protery of the new driver and search for update go to inksell.com they will give you the latest driver

try and use the watermark setting to put your logo on the print but not in the print the same as when you see draft, copy on the page under the print

Out of ink?

Sounds like it is not off, but is offline. Clear all the print jobs in queue. I would delete the printer (from the Control Panel) and reinstall it.

before you can set up any network printing you need to hook it up via USB. u will most likely need a cd with the install software but might have a ROM built right in to the printer to install the set up software

check if you use a genuine cartridges if no, you have to replace the head (if exist) and the all the cartridges

Probably that there is no more ink in the yellow cartridge. Print in Black.
