Hello.

From HP Support:

Try HP genuine cartridges.

Also, try:

Print and evaluate a Print Quality (PQ) Diagnostic page
The PQ Diagnostic can help determine if the printer needs to be aligned, or if the printheads need to be cleaned, or if the linefeed needs to be calibrated. Step one: Print the PQ Diagnostic page
  1. Make sure the printer is loaded with unused white paper.
  2. Press the Setup button.
  3. Select Print Report .
  4. Select Print Quality Page .
  5. Press OK .
Step two: Examine Test Pattern 1 If the lines in Test Pattern 1 are not straight and connected, follow these steps to align the printer.
  1. Make sure the printer is loaded with unused white paper.
  2. Press the Setup button on the control panel, and then press 6 on the keypad or scroll to Tools .
  3. Press 4 on the keypad or scroll to Align Printer .
  4. Press Okay , and then press OK again when the alignment is done to continue.
Step three: Examine Test Pattern 2 If any of the colored blocks in Test Pattern 2 show white lines, or are faded or missing completely, follow these steps to clean the printheads. Figure 5: White lines in Test Pattern 2 c01955714.jpg Illustration of white lines in test pattern 2 NOTE: If there are white lines through ALL the color blocks, and also white lines through the gray blocks in Test Pattern 3, and then do not clean the printheads - instead go to the next step and calibrate linefeed.
  1. Press the Setup button.
  2. Select Tools .
  3. Select Clean Printhead .
After cleaning, print another PQ Diagnostic page and look for defects:
  • If there are no defects, stop troubleshooting here.
  • If there are defects on the page, try another printhead cleaning.
  • If there are still defects on the page after another cleaning, go to the steps in this document to replace printheads .
Step four: Examine Test Pattern 3 If any of the gray blocks in Test Pattern 3 show dark lines or white gaps where the arrows are pointing, calibrate linefeed. Figure 6: White gaps in Test Pattern 3 c01955710.jpg Illustration of white gaps in test pattern 3
  1. Press the Setup button.
  2. Select Tools .
  3. Select Calibrate Linefeed .
  4. Press the OK button.
  • If these steps resolved the issue , you do not need to continue troubleshooting.

Hope this helps.

HALLO, I HAVE AN OFFICEJET

For using this option you need to install the full featured driver. The standard driver doesn't support this. You can download the driver from the HP support site:

Im getting an error message

Have you tried swapping out the Cyan cartridge with a new one? If not, try that. Sometimes manufacturing defects in cartridges, especially defective microchips in the cartridges themselves, cause that type of failure.

In any case, if your all-in-one printer is over 3 years old, it's statistically likely to encounter some kind of catastrophic failure. My L7680 just bit the dust on Sunday when a paper jam destroyed the print carriage. Sadly, they just don't last. I was thrilled with the quality of it and it made me angry to junk it after just shy of four years!

Try swapping out the cartridge with a new one and, if that's unsuccessful, consider replacing the entire printer. Sorry to sound disparaging but they're just not built to last! :(

Suddenly print in mirror image

I'm almost positive that the printer setup is causing this problem. To fix this you will need to go to
Printer Properties... then
Finishing....
Under the header: ORIENTATION ..... UNCLICK the "MIRRIOR IMAGE"
Then make that format your default or it will continue to switch back to Mirror Image....

I hope this helps, if it does please click the thumbs up!

HP L7580 printer prints mirror image

  • Go to the Printers Menu and select Add Printer
  • Add a Local Printer
  • Create a new port - type: local port
  • For the port name, enter the share of your printer on the remote computer.  For example, if your computer name is superDesktop and the printer share name is megaPrinter, you'd type in \\superDesktop\megaPrinter.
  • Finish the wizard and you're done, printing normally!

Had a power outage, when

You didn't say which ink it was indicating, but here goes.
WARNING!! This reset WILL ERASE any speed dials you have for faxing!

disconnect the power from the unit
press # and 6 on the keypad, then reconnect the power
keep holding the keys til you see SEMI NVM RESET or the unit powers off.
release the keys
If the unit powered off, power it back up.
The unit will whir and click and gyrate for some time.
It eventually should spit out a calibration page and be done with it.
You should now be up and running.
If not, remove the offending (C/Y/M or K) cartridge, and repeat the procedure. Reinsert the cartridge the moment the machine complains that it's missing.
If that doesn't FixYa, post a reply here, and I'll see what else we can do.

For that first check the led status on the printer if it show green led then it is online but if it show orange led then need to check printer. Make sure there is not any paper jam inside printer. Make sure cartridges are fine reconnect. then check. Try to take self test print from printer if it gives print then printer is fine. then need to check usb cable try it in another ports. Reinstall all usb drivers from device manage then restart computer then it will install all usb drivers uninstall printer driver then reinstall it's driver again. You can download it from below link. Click here Download from above link then install then check. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

I suggest you change the other cartridges as well, one at a time.
The problem is not with empty cartridge. The cartridge might be full but defective, which causes the error message to appear.
