What would cause it to print everything in

You have probably got the Preferences set to "Mirror Image".

Next time you go to print something, click on Properties or Preferences when the Print window comes up.

Click on the Advanced tab. Look for Mirror Image. It should say Off. If it is ON, click on the word "On" and a drop-down menu will appear to select Off. Then click OK at the bottom.

You can then cancel the print job, or go ahead and print it out to verify that the printing is OK.

Mirror Image is used mainly for T-shirt iron-on transfer images.

Thanks for using Fixya.

How do I clean HP officejet Pro L7680 All pictures have severe vertical lines??

Have you tried the "clean print head" option in the HP Officejet Pro software on your computer? This will often fix verticle lines. But, it will use a lot of ink.

I get the error message:

antiochpc may be correct but something worth trying first.

Open the printer lid and press OK for 5 seconds (as per screen instructions) to get the printer to put the printhead carriage unit in the replacement position.

Take the black and yellow printhead out of the carriage unit and check for any smear or soiling on the circuit board at the back of the printhead (don't touch the underside where the nozzles are!).

Using a cotton bud, carefully wipe off any ink or other moisture/grease, that may have built up.

Do the same to the back of the printhead slot circuit are but again, be careful and gentle.

Try slotting the printhead back into position, close the carriage unit blue lid and close the printer lid.

If it's worked you'll find the printer will run a self test routine and then return to normal operation.. If not, it's definitely replacement time.

Hp 6700

Download the latest drivers and/or updates, especially for the HP software. Make sure your rollers are clean. Use rubbing alcohol to remove any kind of "gunk."

I can't get my hp L7680 to print red

If you have tried everything else, remove the printhead and run it through a 15 minute cycle in an ultrasonic cleaner in hot de-ionized water. Dry the PH very well with a hair dryer on low heat. I am assuming a good, new cart here, not a refilled dried out one, of course. I do not own this particular printer, but they are all about the same. I own the 8600

What do neet to do to get the scanner on my all-in-one printer to be recoginzed

This assumes you have installed the software from the HP SW install disc. Go to search programs and files (Lower Left hand Corner) and type in services.msc. Expand the column to the right by dragging the seperator at the top. Scroll down to Remote Procedure Call RPC LOCATOR. Double click it. Set to delayed start. Restart Windows. The delayed start is necessary to allow the OS to boot before the scan service loads.

The stack stopper on my HP L7680 All-in-One printer came off. How does it go back on?

There is a flimsy cover that poorly snaps in above roller ADF assembly of the HP L7680 when it is in its normal operating position. This cover is the one that covers the blue release button. The stack stopper hangs from this small black plastic cover via the two round pegs on end of this cover and floats up and down between the two rollers. Really amazingly flimsy design. Oddly enough when assembled correctly it works.

How to clear paper jam in hp photosmart C270 printer

There does not appear to be a Model C270 in the hp photosmart printer models. Do you mean it displayed a "C270 error code" in what Model No. Printer? The error code C270 indicates a paper jam/misfeed error. You possibly have paper remnants still inside Machine. You could remove drawers from machine, and look inside for remnants of paper. Maybe try turning machine off and on using red switch at knee level. If there is truly nothing blocking a jam sensor, then problem is likely a bad sensor. 99% of the time HP does not make replacement parts available to out-of-warranty printers. That's why I had to dump my C5550 HP Photosmart All-in-one printer; my office machine repair business could not get the replacement sensor! Remember: "Brother model" offer free toll-free phone tech service for the LIFE OF THE PRINTER! That's why I bought a Brother this time!
