Casio EXILIM EX-Z1000 Digital Camera - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Is it allows to use 32 gigabites memory card?
I'm surprised the 32GB card is working at all. The Z1000 works with MMC and SD cards, which max out at 2GB. If the 32GB SDHC card is working at all, the camera will treat it as a 2GB SD card, unable to see the rest of the memory.

PC using XP OS does
Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as
Picasa.

The card is locked so the camera doesn't work. how do I unlock it?
If your camera uses a SD memory card then -SD and Micro SD memory cards has a smallslide switch on the edge of the card, which write protects data on the memorycard. Slide the switch from the READ position tothe WRITE position, which is furthest away from the contacts.

Opens then closes
I suggest you try a new battery, most camera batteries are good for 1 to 3 years.

Battery getting drain quick.
Hi joeycb805,
Just take out the battery and check if it has become kind of fluffy, if it has , then it's time for you to get a new battery as this fluffiness indicates worn out battery.
Hope this helps ..:) Let me know if you have any further queries.

How do I change the
The option to change the date and time only comes up when you first start up your camera. To make this option show up again you have to remove the battery from the phone for a few minutes, then put it back in and turn your camera on and the options to change the language and date should be up on the screen.
