My father had a similar problem with his Navman here in the UK. I discovered he had turned off sections of his mapping software in the Navman - take a look at Preferences -> Maps -> Manage Maps to see if any areas are turned off.

The battery is defective or your charger is not working. Most likely it is the battery but the charger is a possible until checked. You may want to find a gps shop and find out if they can get a battery.You can also contact Navman and talk to support about sending it in to them for repair. The battery should be about $20 plus labour to install.

This model can be updated ..or maps added by using a preloaded sd card ..You will need a Greece map to have what you need...this is what I found for this device ..Im not sure the eastern Europe one will cover or not ..but this is the idea..and if you get the map from other sources..it can be laded on the sd card ..

Check whether the battery is fully charged or not. If not charge it fully and it will take about 15 hours. If you are connected the device to a fully charged battery, and yet it does not switch on reset the dvice using its reset button, and check whether the supply connection to it are firm and have no loose contact. If you are turning it on for the first time, may take an extent time to get a GPS fix. For a contnious tickle charging, connect the device to in-car plug adapter. There is no more than this to check with this unit. it must turn ON, if all the above stated conditions are there. OK.

You will find the previous destination every time when you will select RECENT PLACES/DESTINATIONS.
But if you want to have it alays as a waypoint you have to do like this: once you have input the coordinates of it just tap on that destination [to select it] and give it a name by saving it in POI/FAVORITES.

This is a problem with all GPS's no matter the brand, they all use Map software from Navtec, it is a problem in the Map software and not the GPS so all you can do is buy the latest updated Map software in hopes they will correct this type of error in future releases of the Map software. I know this first hand.
