I've just done this, guided by SKY but all you really need to do it....

Press Interactive button on remote

Choose option 5

Then choose set remote control, it should give you instructions and the correct cde fo ryou specifc tv

This set only supports Analog transmission. Digital transmission is not supported.You need a seperate Set Top Box to solve your problem.

Can be related to a possible fault in the inverter board , failure of the back light . Please check the power to the board and check the back light circuit.

Have you tried number 1 button and up or down button held down together?

For the remote codes, Viewsonic does not have any since the universal remote comes furnished with a code book from the "MAKER" of that Universal Remote. I have heard that the Philips TV brand codes for universal remotes work on quite a few series' of Viewsonic TV's, so try those from your code book.

I have a 19" ViewSonic and if you hold down the 2nd and 3rd buttons together under the screen, counting from the LEFT, it will disable the Powerlock.

try the volume if this works then press SELECT to save the code. If not then press TV again then the volume. repeat this step until the volume works then press the SELECT button to save the code.

To get rid of the power button enable you need to either press and hold the power button on the tv ( not on the remote control pad) for approx 15 seconds or if that does not work do the same using the source button

Then select the remote option (5) You will then get a list of tv models with codes, follow the directions on screeen
