Your compressor is bad .Need to replaced, a way to test is unplugged the compressor and see if it stays on
On several occasions, I've emptied, unplugged
Good Afternoon, My name is Houston and thank you for using FixYa! Your defrost system is made up of three components: defrost heater, defrost thermostat and defrost timer/control board. Since you have the ABB2223DES Amana the defrost timer is incorporated into the electronic control board (P/N: 12868513) which is located behind the control panel in the refregerator section. Unfortunately, it is in the $100 range, so let's hope that it is either the defrost heater (P/N: 67001794) - approximately $30 - and is located on the right side of the evaporator (the coils in your freezer section). If you have access to an ohm meter, you can test it by disconnecting and doing an ohm check - anything but an open or infinity reading usually means it is good. The last item is the defrost thermostat which is located near the evaporator (P/N: 12001937). It can also be checked with an ohm meter and the normal readings are 28-48 ohms.
Freezer is continuing to run and is forming some
You have a defrost problem. If you drop the back panel and have a full coil of ice. Then you have a defrost problem. If you only have half of coil of frost. Youhave a sealed system problem. More than you can handle you will need a tech. Ok if you have a defrost problem you thaw with a hairdryer. You should unplug and melt all the frost. Then you have about 7-10 days that the box will work. This will allow you some time to get it fixed. Hope this helps
Freezer has fuzzy ice, refrigerator not cooling at
hi,
Sound like a you have a door seal problem, if you get warm air in a freezer for too long will cause the air to crystalize and look like someone took a snow blower and blow it inside. Simple repair is to empty unit a unplug unit to thaw completely, but this could take 24 hours or so to do this. and towels inside unit to prevent leaking on to the floor. Either way you need to remove the frost so the unit will start working again.
After clearing the ice out, you will restore air flow inside the unit and things should return to normal, also check door seal to assure complete seal is made to prevent this in the future..
Good luck, be-careful it can contain all lot of water, for water the floor..... I’m happy to help further over the phone at

Afd2535des not cooling in any department, when I opened the doors, the lights work and the led temp control lights up. I hear a fan start and 5 seconds later the fan stops n leds shut off.
- Check the thermostat: Make sure the thermostat is set to a temperature that is low enough to cool the refrigerator. If the thermostat is not working properly, it may need to be replaced.
- Check the condenser coils: The condenser coils on the back of the refrigerator should be clean and free of dust and debris. If the coils are dirty, the refrigerator will not be able to cool properly. Use a vacuum cleaner or a brush to clean the coils.
- Check the fan motor: If the fan motor is not running, the refrigerator will not be able to cool properly. Check if the fan motor is receiving power and if it's spinning freely. If the fan motor is faulty, it will need to be replaced.
- Check the start relay: The start relay helps the compressor start up. If the start relay is faulty, the compressor may not start and the refrigerator will not be able to cool properly. If the start relay is faulty, it will need to be replaced.
- Check the compressor: If the compressor is not working, the refrigerator will not be able to cool properly. Check if the compressor is receiving power and if it's running. If the compressor is faulty, it will need to be replaced.

No power to Amana ice and water dispenser. Rest of refer runs fine.
It's possible that the issue could be with a micro switch located on the ice maker cabinet that is activated when the prong on the back of the ice/auger tray is inserted. It's also possible that there could be another issue with the dispenser, such as a problem with the wiring or a malfunctioning component. I would recommend checking the wiring and testing any other micro switches or components that are related to the dispenser to see if they are functioning properly. If you are unsure how to do this, I would recommend consulting the user manual or contacting a qualified technician for further assistance.
