sir all smps can be reapired using indian jugar technique. first of all see twi diods under the burnt transistors check them they are short then check the capacitors if they are not leaky or pregnant then see bridge reactifier change all that looks short or open then replace all and the transistors with 13007 transistors(jugad) be careful that 13007 must be isolated from heat sink that means metal part must be fixed to them but not short to them . replace the fuse with 2 ampere fuse (for safety) ..... have fun

Check for dust build up static charge can jump on dust and cause a short. Keep it clean if powering down or just keep it on you will have less problems. That's why companies leave comp on startup cause shorts

My advise to you is to never turn of your computer! the constant start and stop put stress on your power supply not to mention dust build up and if not properly cleaned the startup process can cause a short which I've seen so many times. I have a computer which is 8 years old I never wanted to turn it off but leaving for two weeks vacation I turn it off. On my return the startup it shorted yeah dust build up.I had to replace the power supply, still running now. (A warm drive is a happy drive)

The switch should be on the back of the power supply. you might have to remove the 4 screws that hold it in place, and slide it away from the case to see it.

cheak the fuse of smps and cheak the rectifire diode of smps and also cheak driver transistorof driver tranformer

First, I am not very good with acronyms, so what is an ATX SMPS.
I have a feeling it is an ATX style Power Supply which cannot handle a load. What are we talking about per voltage rail and where do you think the drain comes from?

They are lightly loaded and WILL take time to bleed off the charge on the caps.

Also switching power supplies MUST have a load on them or they MAY overvoltage.

change the power switch is just shorted closed

Look for a program called Sound Booster or one called DFX. DFX is my favorite because it not only boosts the volume, but lets you add other effects to enhance you sound as well. There is a free version. but to get all the effects you have to upgrade to the paid. If audio is important to you, check it out.

Try going into sound select and test reinstall driver off Asus website..if you installed new windows or update drivers may not work right...see if you can roll back driver in device manager ..if not lookup your laptop model and reinstall...
