You can secure your network by putting a Network Key in it. Network key is a password on the wireless network for you to be able to connect. Just access your router thru your browser then go to wireless settings, you'll fine there the network key. You can personalize the Network Name, Network Key and Network Authentication or Security.

Check the plug of network wire going into PC - OR Replace the wire completely. Maybe blow out any dust from the socket. It may work if you just wiggle the plug in the socket.

If none of that changes anythig, then you may need to replace the network card in the pc.
If it's built in to the mother board, you can disable it in BIOS, and install a new one.

64-bit encryption 10 characters

128-bit encryption 26 characters

256-bit encryption 58 characters (available on DI-614+ only)

The encryption key is HEX, meaning 0-9 and A-F are valid characters. You need to reset the router and the configure the router again...

Make sure that the D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G DI-624 Wireless router is functional at 100m signal range for better signal .

try to unplug router and telefone line for 20 minutes and try again, hope it works. Maybe a temporary problem with your provider.

There is a small reset button on the back of the unit. To hard reset to factory default settings: Locate reset button on the back, use paperclip to push reset button. Hold for about 10 seconds then release. After unit reboots, which may take a few minutes, it will be reset to the factory default settings. You will lose the current configuration settings.

Power it up holding the reset button in for 5 seconds, you will need to reset all settings including broardband and any wireless settings... it's a full factory default.
only proceed if you have all the login detils for your account.

Click Start
Click Run
Type CMD
Press Enter
Type IPCONFIG
Press Enter
Look for a line like: Default Gateway......192.168.123.456
The value you see is the current IP-address for the D-Link router.
Start Internet Explorer.
Type http://192.168.123.456 (using the values that you see)
to access the web-server "inside" the router.

The default factory settings are:

Username: admin
Password: password

If this doesn't work try a blank password or admin

If you still can't access the router you can reset it to the factory settings by inserting a paperclip into the small hole where the reset button is located.

Check the bottom of of your router. Can you tell me if yours says has a "REV" and letter after the model number "DI-624" ?

As in "REV B" (Revision B)

Also which version of Windows are you using?
