Everstar portable ac fills the overflow water

Air conditioners cause the moisture in the air to condense on the evaporator coil. The water that is created needs to have somewhere to drain. If the unit is in a humid environment, it will create allot of condensation. This kind of operation is not uncommon.

I have a Diplomat portable

I was having the same problem as the OP, thanks everyone who replied to this! I didn't know what to do when on a 40°C day my AC turned off and P1 came on the display, I just needed to empty the water ! It's actually a pretty good safety feature !
Cheers!

P1 error on everstar mpk10cr and comprossor wont turn

On the MPK-10CR, this code shows up (for me) when either the bucket for evaporation collection isn't in the compartment, or it isn't seated properly. Try re-seating it a few times until you hear the A/C kick in.

You can get the manual on the link below if you need it.

Good luck

My Everstar MPK-10CR portable 10,000 BTU's is blinkink P1 all tim

Just got one of these used, and also got the P1 error. Took the case off (which just involved a lot of Phillips head screwdriver turning), and found a sensor switch just to the left of the drain box inside the case. If I press on the sensor switch, the P1 error goes away, but then I get a blinking dot on the LCD display. Pressed the power button after that (while still holding the sensor switch) and it started working again. It looks like it was super-glued either originally or by a previous owner. Just needed to be re-positioned towards the top left corner where the drain pan sits. Just be careful when removing the case to not disconnect any of the wires going to the LCD display.

http://safemanuals.com/user-guide-instructions-owner-manual/DANBY/DPAC8020
You have a different unit listed from the header unit. The above site can take you to a site that has one of the manuals. Look in the box on the right and download the Danby unit manual. You can also browse to see if the other one is there too.

The dehumidifier tank is bone

In your case, the condensation generated by the AC is split between the exhaust duct and one of the water collection tanks. The unit should warn you or shut down, when the tank is full and needs to be drained. But, at 10 years old, I'd monitor is regularly.

Can you extend the exhaust hose on these danby air

Generally, no. These units only have just so much fan pressure to exhaust the heat & moisture out of the house. Extending the hose could cause a draining & exhaust problem.

Everstar MPM1-10CR-BB6

The directions have the steps to take when a "P1" error is flashing.

1) Remove the plug (the upper black plug not the lower) and attach the included drain hose.
2) Put a bucket under the hose.
3) Press the TURBO button for MORE THAN THREE SECONDS. The WATER INDICATOR will begin flashing telling the user that the FORCED WATER DRAINAGE feature is activated. You will even hear a little whirring noise.
4) Wait until the WATER INDICATOR stops flashing and no more water is flowing out of the drainage tube.
5) After the water is finished flowing, make sure that you FASTEN the DRAIN PLUG. Of course, failure to do this will flood the area.
6) The unit should now work.

You can also move the unit somewhere that you can remove the plug and let the water flow freely (you do not need to have it plugged in for this method) and once the water is finished, replace the plug and fire it up. It should then work correctly. It's also mentioned that the water should be drained quite often to prevent corrosion. I do it every few months and of course when winter approaches.

I like this air conditioner and have had really nice luck with it. A little loud but who cares. That's why there are SUBTITLES on the television.

Hope this helped.
