Everstar MPM1-10CR-BB6

Press and hold the turbo button while plugging in the unit. The AC will cycle through a few tests and mine showed that it had excess water. I have long vinyl tubing so the unit could drain outside the window but it thought whenever it would start or stop there was excess water (thus stopping the flow). I drained the excess water out of the line and voila

Instead of cooling the room, the back of the AC forms ice

Change the filter. It doesn't have the proper air flow across the coil. Hope this helps. Good luck

Have a E1 error

E1 error on Danby is to clean or replace air filter. Check that filter is properly installed as that may also cause the error.

Danby DPAC8020 loosing it's cool

Had the same problem 5 YR OLD unit and I was sweating. Took off back and side panels. Cleaned out the H2O hose and Took out lots of dirt and grim covering the unit. It seems when the unit is covered with this dirt n grime the auto cut off engages to prevent damage and/or possible fire. After a through cleaning I grabbed for the blanket that evening. Been on 12 hours now and gosh the room is cool,

Brand new right out of box Everstar MPK-10CR-1 portable 10,000 BTU's

It sounds to me like it is overheating. Make sure that all of the literature that came with the unit is accounted for. Many times the manual or instructions are blocking the exhaust causing it to overheat. If this is not the problem then I would suggest exchanging it for a new one. It may be a manufacturer defect.

Everstar Portable air

Well, sorry the response is so late but here goes. I just went through the same problem a few days ago. Press and hold the turbo button while plugging in the unit. I have long vinyl tubing so the unit could drain outside the window but it thought whenever it would start or stop there was excess water (thus stopping the flow). Make sure your air filters are clean and you are getting enough air flow. If you are operating it with the fan in automatic and it shuts off when the compressor cycles off change it to continuous circulation.
Fan on.

Cuts in and out

I suspect a bad compressor run capacitor. Take the unit to a service facility & have the capacitor & overload protector replaced. The overload will be weakened by the repeated cycling.

Danby DPAC10061 portable air conditioner problem

you may have a factory defective unit that is not turning off the anti-frost heating coil (I have assumed yours contains this item based on your problem description). I would trade it in for a new unit, again assuming you have a warranty or the store offers a good in-store return policy. If this plan bombs, then open the unit and find the heating coil near the cool side of the radiator fins. then disconnect the power wires to the heater and prevent electrical short to wires with quality electrical tape.
