If a microwave hasn't been left off for many hours, without it discharging, the charge can burn or kill you, so it is not a recommended do it yourself repair. The fuses can be purchased and replaced easily, and I have done it on several occasions, but the danger should not be underestimated - trained technicians even can be hurt if they make a mistake. I regret having tried to do it myself without knowing how to be safe.

The F-9 error code indicates a defective control board, inverter or line voltage too high.

Pretty sure the capacitor is bad and it is time to get a new microwave.

Deanna: There is a door sensor in the door frame of your microwave that tells the microwave if the door is open or shut. That sensor is not working for some reason. The sensor is near the latch mechanism and is made of plastic and has probably broken and needs to be replaced. I would take it to a small appliance repair shop. Microwaves are nothing to fool with if you do not know what you are doing.

I suppose it is possible you pressed the wrong button - if you disconnect it from the power for a few minutes it should cancel whatever action you might have taken, though realistically it is more likely your microwave has developed a fault that is best tackled by the repair shop.

There are parts inside the unit that fail and can cause this. One such part is the high voltage diode. You can repair it yourself but if you dont know electronics, I dont recommend it.

I DON'T KNOW. BE VERY CAREFUL AROUND MICROWAVES DUE TO HIGH VOLTAGES AND RADIATION ALWAYS UNPLUG IT BEFORE SERVICING THEM. YOUR SYMPTOMS SUGGEST THE DOOR SWITCH NEEDS TO BE REINSTALLED OR REPLACED. IT SEEMS IT IS IN THE 'OPEN DOOR' POSITION. . I RECENTLY REPAIRED ONE. I UNPLUGGED IT AND REMOVED THE OUTER SHELL. I COULD SEE THE VARIOUS OFF/ON SWITCHES AND THEY JUST SNAPPED INTO PLACE INTO PLASTIC HOLDERS. I USED IDENTICAL SWITCHES FROM OLDE THROW AWAY MICROWAVE.OF A DIFFERENT BRAND, TO MY SURPRISE, THEY BOTH USED SAME SWITCHES.

I Agee with Ray - You can gain access to the lamp holder by removing the outter wrapper - unplug the power before you start

Electricity is stored in the microwave, and before removing the panel to remove the fuse, you must wait several hours with the power off, and the power plug disconnected. These sensors are made for particular temperature after achieving that temperature they cut off the supply for the product safety.
