Step 2 Hold paper clip down for 10 seconds and release.

Note: Do not repower unit during this procedure.

Step 3 The unit will reboot on its own. Once the WLAN light stops blinking, the unit is reset.

Resetting the router does not reset the firmware to an earlier version. It will change all settings back to factory defaults.

Note: The factory defaults username is admin, and there is no password.

Lost install disk, need to download install disc.

You can set up your router manually, without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online directly through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem, that means the modem is working fine.
You will need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

Click Here for more information about the routers and network

Unable to go wireless...message says cable is not

Yes, and of course the whole point of wireless is that there is no cable connected!

Did you get a disc with your router? If so, run the disk with your adapter connected.

Ah... you do have an adapter connected, don't you? If not, you will need to buy a wireless adapter to plug into a USB slot on your PC. A wireless router works by receiving a signal from a wireless transmitter in the PC, or from an adapter attached to the PC's USB slot. If you don't have an adapter, you can get one for about £20 to £30. It's definitely worth the money, I assure you!

If you do have an adapter but the router can't 'see' it, you need to check a few things. Check the adapter is properly connected. Check its properties by clicking on its icon in the taskbar - make sure the signal strength is sufficiently high, and that the adapter is attempting to connect to your own router, and not the equipment of someone across the road.

If the router came with an instruction booklet, it should explain how to connect using the wireless facility, and these instructions are usually helpful and well-written. Most importantly, the booklet should tell you where to find the crucial information to type in the first time the adapter tries to 'find' the router. In fact, many routers have a sticker with the wireless connection code stuck to the router itself somewhere, so if you can't find the booklet, look for a sticker on the router itself.

I hope that helps a bit. Good luck!
