The TV you have purchased from US, will be only meant to receive NTSC video signals. It will not work with PAL signals. No need to alter the TV circuits. Just try to get an NTSC to PAL converter, and connect it.

Does the red light blink in a discernible pattern? How many times does it flash or blink?

I'm not absolutely sure, but I think that if you look Netflix than find a download button you could download it to your device. :)

if it is the aerial connector whats broke make sure there is nothing stuck in the back of the tv then simply replace tv plug you can buy them fo about 50 pence
