Start by checking for "link" between the modem and wireless router. This is usually a tiny light built into the network port itself on each piece of network equipment. It should be solidly on if the link is good. If it isn't on, check that you have the network cables plugged in good and that the cables or connectors are not broken or damaged. If you have another network cable, try it instead of the one you were using. If these steps don't help, you can try fully resetting your wireless router to factory defaults, then reconfiguring it again. Consult the manual for your brand and model of wireless router for this. It may also have additional troubleshooting steps. There is a chance your wireless router has simply gone bad. I've seen new Belkin wireless routers for as little as $29, so you may want to go that route, rather than spending too much time trying to troubleshoot the one you have.

Step 1:Connect Modem - Router - Computer (Wired)

Step 2:Open Router Setup by typing http://192.168.2.1 on the address bar of internet explorer

Step 9:On the left under Firewall Click DMZ

Step 10:Enable the IP Address of the Xbox/PS3/Wii in it

Step 11:Click Apply Changes

Step 13:On the left Under Utilities click System settings

Step 14:Scroll down to the bottom

Step 15:Enable UPnP

Step 16:Click apply changes

IF it starts with 192.168. or 172.16 Then you will have to contact your internet service and ask them to bridge the modem

try to check if the ip of modem is the same as of router , if so change router , example : if both work on 192.168.1.1 than change router to 192,168.3.1 this might solve the problem , it did for me .

Range (distance from modem/router to computer) is shorter on higher speeds -- N signals won't travel as far through your home as G. Walls greatly reduce range. Move the computer closer to the modem/router and see if you don't get higher speeds. Then you can decide if you need to relocate the modem/router closer to the computer. The question is, why is Wi-Fi speed important to you? Your G speed is already 10x - 20x your Internet speed. Wi-Fi speed only matters if you're doing a lot of file transfers between devices inside your network. You may be trying to solve a problem you don't have.

ok... so I've now installed this on my new pc that i built... first in order to get it to install at all you must download DirectX 7.0 and right click to "--(edit compatibility settings to windows 98/Me and run as administrator)--" remember this as well be doing it a few times. once you do that install DirectX 7.0 and say yes to all. now that this is installed take the .iso file you have and burn it to a cd or DVD-r, once burned you need to go to my computer and right click on the cd/DVD drive, select open (NOT open autoplay), inside the disc menu i want you to go to 2 files... "setup" and "start" need to also have their compatibility settings changed to the above settings. now that these are set stay in the cd menu and double click "setup" this will take you through the setup procedure. after the setup procedure is finished do not view the notes, and continue back to the desktop. now from your start menu load the game and it should run
