Did you try another Cord/Charger before disassembling? Has the AC jack been damaged due to pulling on the cord? Has there been and damage? Do you leave the laptop plugged in all the time? Any electrical surges? Do you get anything when plugged it? Charge LED?
Mpcheeseman it wont ever turn my cd on now so i
Oh--now I understand. You are using the restore disks for your computer. It sounds like you did the correct thing, but try this:Do the whole thing over. After the last disk is finished and it wants you to restart the computer, remove the disk from the drive and see if it boots OK. It almost sounds like you were told to reboot the computer and when it started it asked you to press any key to boot from the CD and you did. Don't do that--just let it go on its own. Let us know what happens.
Acer aspire 3004 battery not charging
Hello.
The most common reasons for power issues are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord.
Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty.
If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.
The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement. If a power jack problem, it should be addressed by someone knowledgeable.
If no change, the power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement.
Hope this helps.
Okay i will try to be clear about what im asking 1
On the bottom of the computer, have the battery facing you. At the upper left corner of the case you will find a hard drive bay. Probably has 3 or 4 screws. May be less, I'm not sure just how many.Anyway, you unscrew the little door and lift it up. Under that door lies the hard drive. It may have a screw or two holding it in. If so, unscrew those screws. You can then either lift the hard up by sliding it to the left to unplug it from the motherboard. The hard drive will be in it's own holder. It is held there by 4 screws, 2 on each side. Unscrew them and lift the drive out of it's holder. Look at the end of your new drive--does it look the same as the one you just took out? There may be an adapter on the end of the drive you just pulled out. If so, you can pull it straight off the old drive and put it on the new one. Now reverse the process and install the new one in the computer.

I was told that my acer aspire 3004wlci needs a
Yes, you sure can replace it. The buzzing may just be the old hard drive spinning or attempting to spin. I has moving parts in it and they make noise sometimes. On the bottom you can undo the screws that hold the hard drive in. Remove them, slide out the drive and remove it from the caddy. It will need to be replaced with a SATA drive and windows will need to be reinstalled and activated with microsoft.
I'm trying to hook up a projector to my Acer
Make sure that your projector is set to the correct input. I have seen this happen many times, and that is likely the problem. Do not hesitate to comment if this does not solve your problem.
