have you tried to do a system restore if so and didnt work
try acer ftp site ftp://ftp.support.acer-euro.com/notebook/ find your laptop and look for the webcam driver

There is an easy fix solution that works most times when your PC/Laptop suddenly does not turn on. Dont ask why or how but follow it.
1. Disconnect all the power supply, that is remove the adapter cable and remove the battery.
2. Press and Hold the power button for 10 to 20 Seconds(very important 10 secs at least)
3. Put back the battery and connect the power adapter and try switching on your laptop.

I resently had the same problem on my HP laptop and search Google for possible solutions. No solution works until I tried Windovs Update and then got 5 alternatives - Synaptics PS/2 port TouchPad was one of them. I update and restart and finally solve this problem.

On Acer. Not sure which particular model that is, but the steps are all the same...
First you would have to have the camera software installed on your system..
then you can go to your all programs and find this software, depending on the software if full-featured it should give you the options to do a lot of things,record, snapshots, playback, edit... etc...
if all fails, there may be a secondary full-feature software that can be used with your Acer... may have to look into that then

well fist the size that it is says is creating the error is interesting. My guess is that the fault is because the picture you are trying to access is actually a GIF. If this is the case many camera software and even some of the graphic software will not read it. Try opening that picture in internet explorer and see what happens. To remove the fault what i would do is erase the picture or move it to another part of your hard drive. That way when you start the camera it will not be looking for that picture but another JPEG.

I bought this part and replaced my back cover for LCD. be careful while replacing LCD inverter you might be needing a new one.

Replace bottom plastics. Find them by doing a Google search. Use keywords 'laptop plastics for make/model.

What does work is this-
Superglue the cracked lid as you WILL have one of these if you are reading this post- dont rush, I did about 10 glue applications over a few days to let it set correctly.
Next remove the offending hinges. You will see to spring/pressed steel curves in the body of the hinge, Next hack saw one (the outer is easier to get to) of these off, this frees the hinge up very well. Worked for me so give it a try

I wonder if your "Cookies" aren't all screwed up. look delete all cookies. Clean out ALL Temp & TMP folders, do a disk cleanup. That may just get you working again. Also download another browser, say Chrome, or FireFox, use one of them, if you ever have a problem NEVER Import any setting during setup. & Always use Custom Setup, and select everything step by step.

try clicking start --> Devices and Printers and check for any microphone device in that list. If there is one, and you dont have one connected via USB port, there most likely is an inbuilt microphone.

I can't find a Scan Disc pro Que, but I can find a Sandisk Pro Duo, which is a micro SD card.

You will need either an adaptor or a USB cable which can connect the device which uses the card to you laptop.

There are a couple of types of adaptor, one basically converts the micro card to and looks like an ordinary SD card. The other looks like a USB flash drive which you slot the micro card into.

Really cheap on Ebay. Just search for a Micro SD card adaptor.

down load the driver for it. Look on GOOGLE with the name , model, and the word driver and you will find free drivers to down load on to your computer free

there normally is a program installed for running the web cam or you can use yahoo messenger to operate web cam for Im people or skype.

There are some laptop's with it. But maybe that ones out dated.

I am not sure why you would want to do that. THe only way that you may be able to do this is in the BIOS and that you get to from the start up screen. Since there is direct hardware control on the Fn key combintations, you might not be able to disable it.

try to update the video or graphics adapter. there is a possibility the video needs some updates.
