Dishes won't come clean

Check your water inlet for the right pressure and then the water float valve for the right amount of water in the tub for washing. The tub has to have the right amount of water in it to pump it up to the top. It is also possible that the pump has debris in it that is restricting the flow. Clean out the screens and check the bottom of the washer tub for debris at the pump inlet. Use white vinegar to clean out your washer. Start your washer - open the door and pour in a lot of vinegar. Let it run for a few seconds and stop it. Let the vinegar work on the scale and debris. Start and stop it several times during the day - not completing the wash cycle until in the morning - after it has sat with the vinegar 10 -12 hours.

Kitchen Aid Dishwasher KUDP02CRBS5. The washer has quit working and the only light that comes on is the quick-clean Up cycle, it stays on for about 30 second And then goes off. No other buttons wil

Try this, let the dishwasher run the quick-clean up cycle if it still can. Then turn it off at the wall. Unplug it from the wall. Give it a moment. Plug it back in, turn it on at the wall. with a bit of luck it should be up and running again. if not... Check the door is closed properly, it needs to click shut fully before the dishwasher will start. If all that fails, we could assume its more serious, there are different courses of action to be taken... If its under warranty then make the call to the manufacturer or store and go from there. DO NOT try and fix it yourself unless you are a registered electrician or serviceman. Good Luck

No water into dishwasher 8531654

Note: Electricity can cause serious injury even Death. Isolate your power supply from the mains switchboard. Switch off and Unplug your appliance from the wall socket before attempting any repairs. After Isolating your appliance from the main switchboard, Check that the tap is on feeding the line to the Dishwasher. Check other taps in the house to see if your getting water to the house from the mains. If its hard plumbed and the water is on, and still no water... check the inlet filter on the back of the dishwasher. make sure you have turned the power off first. This could be blocked / obstructed with buildup grime from the water mains. After cleaning the filters/ Checking the water supply and restarting the Dishwasher and you get the same error message you will need to call a serviceman to analyze the problem further. DO NOT attempt to dismantle the Dishwasher yourself unless you are a registered electrician or a qualified serviceman. If its still under warranty call the manufacturer or the store it was purchased from, they can arrange a serviceman for you. Good luck and Take Care

Kitchenaid kudp02crbl1 dishwasher. Normal light

Hi,

This means the touch pad sense a stuck or shorted key. Try pushing in all the keys to make sure there not stuck. If not, the touch pad needs to be replaced.

The screws around the door come out and the assembly will slide forward. All plug and play type connections and a few 1/4 screws. The repair is really straight forward. Good luck with your repair friend

Getting a film on drinking glasses.. dishwasher is

The problem is most likely that there is still water residue at the bottom of your machine. If the machine is not fully drained it picks up some of the residue and sprays that onto the dishes during the final rinse, leaving an unhealthy and unsightly film on everything.
Remove the bottom strainers and make sure that there is nothing obstructing the outlet pipe and the pump. If possible back flush through the outlet pipe and try draining the machine again before using it again.

Clean light is blinking but machine wont start

Hi

If clean light is blinking then it may be an issue with heater circuit, door switch or wash pump. If yes then please reset the power to the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error. If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry or Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry, Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry. Now let the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button and allow it to completely drain and reset. If this doesn't work then it's an issue with the wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. You'll have to check the heater using a multimeter; the meter should read between 3000 to 3300 ohms (Use multimeter on Rx1 ohm setting). If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine. Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

My dishwasher will not drain the water. Is there

There is a drain hose that runs under you sink
It will run into a drain pipe under the sink or into the disposal
Remove that hose and check for obstuctions by pumping into a bucket
If that doesn't work check the drain in the bottom of the dishwasher.
There is a filter there that may be plugged.
Hope this helps

Aluminum clad pans turning black and aluminum

Yes, this will tend to happen with aluminium in a dishwasher. All you can do is to experiment with different brands of dishwasher powder/tablets. Some only leave the aluminium dull and grey.

Thanks for using FixYa. As you have already replaced everything else so the issue is with the door switch going bad and should be replaced however, if that switch is fine then it is the control that is bad and should be replaced.
