First make sure that nothing is blocking the drain pump assembly located inside the lower front panel of the dishwasher. If the issue returns after its cleaned then try to reset the dishwasher control by pressing the HEATED DRY button and hold it for 15 seconds, if its still not resolved then it means that the control board has gone bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Everyone expects their dishwasher will work correctly. They can become nonchalant about it until one day it does not function. Sometimes the dishwasher doesn't drain as expected. Most people immediately call the plumber when their dishwasher doesn't work. There are several things you can try at home before having to pay an expensive service fee.

1 Check the basics. Make sure that the dishwasher has actually finish the cycle. Your dishwasher will not drain until the end of the cycle. Many things may have interrupted the cycle. Check circuit breaker and reset it if appropriate. Also check the fuse. It is possible that you could have tripped a circuit have way through the cycle. Make sure the door is properly closed. Ensure you have chosen a cycle on the dishwasher. It is amazing the problems children could accidentally cause, that are easy fixes.

2 Remove any excess food at the bottom of the dishwasher. The best way to do this is with your hands. Large food particles can block from going into the drain. This is also another extremely easy fix to make your dish washer to drain.

3 Check to ensure that the hoses are still attached. Use your manual to find where the hoses are. If they are not attached the owner's manual will give you instructions on how the attach the hoses to your specific dishwasher.

4 Attempt to declog the line. Disconnect the hose from under your sink and see if there are any clogs. Use a hanger or towels, remove the clog from the hose.

5 Remove the dishwasher basket. Again refer to your owner's manual for specific instructions.Normally you will remove it with a screwdriver. Make sure to work slowly. As you take the basket apart, you will be able to see if it needs to be cleaned. If there is dirt or debris, you can clean the parts with a rag or paper towel. After cleaning these parts, you can replace the basket.

6 Calla plumber. If the dishwasher is still not draining, the problems are a little more complex to fix. It is advisable to call plumber to make your dishwasher drain.

Good luck.

There are two things that could cause this issue. The first and most common is a cracked feed tube. The feed tube is the plastic pipe that sits under the upper rack and feeds water to the middle spray arm. If this tube breaks or cracks it shoots water directly down toward the front of the door and leaks occur. The part number for a new tube is 3378144

The second thing it could be is the lower door seal, it clips onto the inner door liner at the bottom. It is part number4172127

Before looking into your built-in dishwasher as the problem, check your main electrical panel to see if you have tripped a circuit breaker. If not, you may have tripped a GFI receptacle located on or around your kitchen counter.  If so, reset it! Then try the dishwasher. However, if this IS the problem, this may become an ongoing problem. I agree with (and its code) having a GFI breaker in your kitchen.  But what I don't agree with is when the contractor/electrician who installed this, didn't take into consideration that when these GFI's are put in series with other receptacles (for added protection) in the kitchen, they trip more easily when plugged in with certain appliances because of the motors (eg. refrigerators, dishwashers, etc.) in them. The GFI's sole purpose is for protecting you around the sink where there's running water. It trips on milliamps so you won't get electrocuted around the sink. Also, if you have other appliances running at the same time the dishwasher's running, makes them more susceptible to trip. So in conclusion, first check for power. Second, check for GFI breaker (or vice versa). I believe you should find your problem here. If so, reset it and wait to see how and when this does it again. GFI breaker's are sensitive breakers. They tend to wear out before a regular outlet (receptacle) does. Not knowing how long and old this (GFI) receptacle is, I'd replace that if it happens more frequently. This usually does the trick. I hope it's not your built-in dishwasher. If so, feel free to contact me again, and I'll help you with that too. Good Luck with this, and I hope you get everything back in working order. Take care, Jim

Pick any 3 consecutive keys (except Start or Cancel, then press them in the sequence 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3. The dishwasher will go through a self-test and short cycle, and reset itself.
