Kenmore 665 dishwasher will rinse but will not wash, water gets in and empties but no wash

There is a pump specifically for pushing the water through the spinning arms of the washer. It's a pretty common problem with Kenmore machines for that pump to die (according to my repairman). It's easiest (if you can call it that) to pull the machine out of its hole in the counter by disconnecting the drain and water feed hoses, probably lowering the adjustable feet just a little, and tipping it on its face to work on the pump which is under the machine. Sears Parts Direct will have the part. Other places carry them as well since they are used in a variety of brand name machines, so check around for price.

Kenmore dishwasher does not drain well

I have a Kenmore dishwasher and it doesn't drain all the time. I finally realized the best way to get it to drain was to go to the air gap, remove the cap and either I would poke a stick down there to clear the clog or get a cardboard paper towel tube, stick it over the air gap and blow down to dislodge the clog. Once I do that, I press the cancel button on the dishwasher to empty the basin and it works every single time.

My Kenmore dishwasher is leaking water from the over flow hose, why?

Sounds like the siphon break hoses need cleaning. Ther are two connected to the siphon break one goes from the dishwasher to the siphon break and the other goes from the siphon break to the disposal or drain under your sink. Also if it connected to the disposal clean the pipe the hose slides on to.

My kenmore dishwasher is leaking from the left side over flow hose, how cann i fix this?

You need to partially pull out the dishwasher (hopefully the water supply line and drain line and electrical line have enough slack to allow you to do this) and run it through a cycle, then look carefully where the leak is coming from. More than likely it's either the black hose is cracked or the leak is coming from the point where the hose connects to the side of the tub. Appliance Repair Forums
