Kenmore Quiet Guard Standard Model
Hi
It seems that the power cord is either loose or not properly
connected assuming this as a new installation. If they are properly connected
then you can use warranty and get it checked as opening up the unit will void
the warranty. Please check this link to buy parts. Hope this helps...

I have a kenmore elite dishwasher 577-9 17262402.
The blinking "clean light" is a common problem with some of the Kenmore and Whirlpool models dishwashers.
The problem is usually attributed to water supply temperatures being too low when filling.
Apparently, there are some issues with the temperature sensing circuits in some dishwashers that causes an error code to be generated if a certain water temperature is not achieved in a specified time interval (this time may differ between models).
There is a reset sequence that you can try to clear the fault.
Push the NORMAL WASH then HEATED DRY buttons in that sequence two to three times.
The unit will enter diagnostics mode, but can be stopped by pressing the CANCEL button.
This will clear any existing faults and should return the dishwasher to normal operation.
To keep the fault from returning, it is recommended that you run your hot water faucet in the kitchen until it runs hot BEFORE you start the dishwasher.
This will heat the water in the supply line for the dishwasher (most dishwashers are fed from the kitchen sink supply line).
The theory is that if you fill the dishwasher with hot water from the start of the wash cycle instead of the cool water that is normally in the lines (especially if you have a hot water tank located far away from the kitchen), this should satisfy the requirements of the temperature sensing circuits.
If the fault reappears, there should be a tech sheet located inside the lower panel under the door that explains what the fault is.
The flashing light will be a series of flashes, followed by a pause.
If you indeed have a component problem, it will depend on the number of flashing lights in the sequence.
Refer to the tech sheet to determine WHAT component is affected and how to troubleshoot.

My dishwasher starts but there
The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. First Check to see if the valve is getting water. Make sure it's not clogged. There is a screen on the inside of the valve, this sometimes gets clogged up with debris. Check to see if you get power to valve when unit is put into operation may take a couple minutes to start a fill. If you have power and it's not clogged up replace the valve .If you have no power to the water inlet valve check float switch. This can be done by checking the continuity. There is a video of this at http://appliancehelponline.com/dishfloatwaterinletvideo.html this will walk you checking the water inlet valve and the float switch. It may be a different model but the testing procedure will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations for most models. All parts come with installation instructions.
My dishwasher will not drain after cycling. I have
The problem is a solenoid under the unit. It is a small black cylinder that operates a valve to change from the wash cycle to the drain cycle. You can probably order a new one from Kenmore for pretty cheap.
Kenmore dishwasher does not drain
A couple of things to check. First did you recently install a garbage disposal? If so there is a plastic cap on the disposal that the drain line hooks into that needs to be removed. You can do this by removing the drain hose from dishwasher and taking a flat head screw driver and pushing it into the disposal. Second remove the hose from the pump and see if anything is blocking it. See if it goes into the drain cycle. If it does and the water is not leaving the dishwasher than it sounds like the pump may be out. If it does not even try to pump the water out than it may be in the timer. Check and see if anything is restricting the water flow first.
Rough film on dishes
first clean dw use tang then prime sink and run dw after that cut back on detergant
My dishwasher is stuck on the
Go to the fuse panel and swicth off the breaker labeled dishwasher. leave it off for about 30 seconds to a minute. This will reset the electronics in the dishwasher. It should work after that.
It wont turn on, brand new.
Hmm!! seems a little bit silly but did you ring the installer?.
If it was done yesterday they have a duty to support the installation be it major or minor
And it should be free
Lost manual. How do you fill up the jet-dry rinse?
Your problem could be one of the following:
* position of dishes, etc. (no obstructions)
* spray arms clogged or non-movement
* water hardness level
* not rinsing dishes, etc. prior to wash
* amount of detergent (try different amounts +/-)
The green "clean' light keeps flashing rapidly and the washer now
This may help in your situation. The following link explains how you may be able to clear the blinking clean light problem:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r417123-blinking_clean_light_kenmore_whirlpoolNow...keep in mind all
dish washers are not alike and have different panel options. If you do not have the same set up as I have referenced, the tech sheet for your dishwasher will explain. The tech sheet is located behind the lower toe panel under the door and lists the proper sequence of buttons to push for
diagnostics and
troubleshooting.
NOTE: Sometimes the tech sheet is located behind the inner door panel. You will need to remove the screws securing the inner panel to access it if this is the case. Make sure you turn off the main power breaker before doing so.
Sometimes this can be a momentary glitch in operation. However, if the problem keeps reoccuring the number of flashes is an indication of which circuit is causing your problem. Again, refer to your tech sheet to determine this.
If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you solve your problem.
