Your projector is in "ceiling mount" mode. I don't know all of the menus for your specific model, but if you navigate through the menus you will likely see an option for ceiling or table mount. This may be a picture rather than words. Also in the same menu list should be front or rear projection. A change to this will flip the picture to the correct orientation.

You need to change it to front/ceiling in the menu function of the projector.

Is it entirely pink or does everything have a purplish tint? Check the settings. If you are connected using component or VGA, make sure that the unit is set to RGB rather than YPrPb.

make sure it's on vga and not component.

if you go into the menu and under settings (or service) you will find an option to reset the settings to factory default. select that.

I've found my solution. My troubleshooting info said to go to "signal" and make sure that "auto" was turned on. However, I couldn't find "auto" when I first tried. There are two places where signal comes up. The second one is under "set-up" and that is where you turn "auto" on. It works perfectly now. I hope this helps. For the icons, make sure you have "mirror image" turned on in your displays preferences if you're on a Mac. Good luck.

if you go through the projectors setup menu you will find the option to invert / flip and rotate image adjust as required

For these types of projectors if you're planning to hook it up using you MacBook ;

You will need a converter ( from VGA to DVI )
Using the VGA cable that came with the unit when purchased ;

Connect the VGA cable on the back of the Projector and on the other of the cable you will connect the converter ( VGA TO DVI ) since for MAC systems it has DVI ports for monitors not VGA...

You can purchase the converter at any Mac store or any computer shop near you..

make sure the power is coming on. if so, the contacts where the bulb is put in could be dirty/rusty/shot so you shoul make sure that is not the case and if it isnt then you should try calling customer service because there might be something wrong with the board.

If you take is apart you may find jammed gears or dry lubricant causing a 'paper jam', due to its age and storage.

Try a hard reset of the printer. Oddly, the 034019 is not an error code, I have reason to think. It is a contact number, I believe.
