GE APN10AA Portable Air Conditioner Questions & Answers
Why would the fan either not work at all ? or work just a little bit on the high, med, and low settings
You could have a bad fan start capictor. You can try to give the fan a slight push in either direction when it doesn't start, and if it does start then it is either the fan start capicitor or the start winding in the fan moter itself. If it is the fan capictior then it is easy to replace however if it is the motor start winding (open) then the motor will either have to be rewound or replaced.
I have repaired many fan start problems in the past and it is most probably the fan start capicitor.
Good luck,

Aph10aa leaking
There is usually a channel to help drain the condensate, it is probably clogged. You will need to open up the unit then put some plastic over the fan motor and anything like relays, switches or contects then bring it outside and use a garden host to clean all of the dirt inside of the unit.
Good luck,
Marty

Clean the sensor first.

While turning the t-stat all the way up and all the way down, listen for a click. If there is no click, replace the t-stat. If there is a click and the compressor still does not shut off, the relay is stuck and should be replaced.

Its the switch inside of the drain bucket hole. It needs to be pressed in to allow the cool setting to run. The unit needs to know that the bucket is in place. Stick your hand in there and press it down with your finger. The unit will run fine and you will know your problem and solution.

Ours was leaking water. After taking the covers off, cleaning it,and draining all the water out, I started getting the same problem with the light coming on every 7 minutes. I actually added some water to the system till it was too full and then drained it out through the plug.
The light still came on every 7 minutes until I turned the unit off and then unplugged it for a few minutes. I plugged it back in, turned it on and reset the temperature. It seemed to reset itself and kept running normally.
