Westell versalink 327w i need default password
If the 327 was never set up for wireless you need to connect to it with an Ethernet cable and plug that into your Mac and one of the RJ45 ports on the back of the 327. Type
http://192.168.1.1 into your browser, this should take you to the Westell Home Page (Your Router). The default for wireless in this router is disable. There are tabs across the top on the page, select Configuration>Wireless>Basic. This opens the Wireless Operation Window. If Wireless is disabled, click arrow to enable. You can also enable and disable encryption in this same window and if you choose to use the basic WEP in the device, the WEP key is on the label on the bottom of the router. If all this is good your laptop should be able to detect the wireless connection, the default is the serial number on the bottom of the router so you will know which connection is yours. REMEMBER TO CLICK SAVE before exiting the window! Hope this helps.

How do I find the WEP for my Westall 327W so I can
First connect your router to computer with ethernet cable.
Then access your router with it's ip
http://192.168.1.1
or
http://192.168.0.1
type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password"
If
you can't able to access it with above ip then press RESET button for
10 seconds it is in back side of router then follow above method.
then
click on wi fi or wireless then check WEP security there is WEP code it is
your password to connect your wi fi network .Then anybody need that
password to connect your wi fi network.
If it is in * or # format then set new and save settings.
Then you connect to your wi fi router with that password.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

I can not remember my wi-fi password. i need it to
If you have tried the default passwords (blank, admin or sysAdmin) and they don't work, you will need to reset it back to factory settings. You can do this by finding a hole at the back of the unit and pressing the hidden switch there for a few seconds. After that it should be back to its original configuration. You will obviously have lost any changes you made to it since you took it out of the box.

I need the gateway and subnet mask for my westell
Hi there!
- First you want to start off by hitting start->run, once the dialog pops up type cmd and press enter
- Once inside CMD, type "ipconfig/all"
- Write down the IP address, Subnet Mask, gateway, and DNS (This is what you needed)
- Once you have these, I would suggest resetting your router by poking the little button with a pen at the back of the modem
- Now, go to 192.168.1.1 on your browser (this is the router's local website)
- Now you login. The default login is "admin" and "password"
- The router should then prompt you to autodetect your connection, but click cancel
- Start by click "Advanced" once you are in. Then click WAN, Multiple PVC, select DSL ATM Port and change that to ethernet port 1. Click edit which is under it, then click the drop down menu and change the form from PPPoE to Routed.
- Fields will change, DHCP client will disable, input the IP, Subnet, Gateway, and DNS from before into the fields. Then you should click set which will make the modem reset.
- Now you have to log back in once your router has restarted.
- Go back to advance, multiple pvc, click edit on Routed Bridge, and change this from DHCP disable to DHCP enable. Then set this and the modem will restart again.
- Once it restarts, turn your westell router off. Unplug the power cord for the modem for 10 seconds. Plug this back in and power up the westell router ONCE the cable modem is up.
- Once this is done you should now be able to setup your wireless connection. Click "setup wireless" setup your SSID, and then go to "Advanced Settings"
- Once there, change RTS threshold and Fragmented Threshold to 2304 and save this. This may restart your modem. If it does not, manually restart the modem.
- Click home, and then 192.168.1.1 again and you should see that you have succesfully connected to the internet!
Good luck!

I need to know how to hook up a westell versalink
In order to setup the versalink you need an active DSL account, a phone line cord, a phone jack, a pc or mac, and an ethernet cord or wireless ethernet card. Plug in the phone cord to the phone jack and to the DSL port on the versalink- once the DSL light is solid, plug in the ethernet cord to the computer you have, or enter the wep key on the bottom of the modem into the wireless manager for your system. At that point, if you need further assistance in getting online, contact Verizon or Bell (whichever is your DSL provider)- they can and will walk you through setting up the versalink to connect to the internet. I’m happy to help further over the phone at

I have a new Westell
Hi rob,
I see that your Westell 7500 Router from Centurylink keeps on Kicking OFF you 3g ATT Microcell and will not let your 3g stay lit.
Do you get any error messages when the issue happen does the internet get disconnected?
you can try resetting your Westell 7500 back to defaults to see any changes that may occur if so.
but it any cases you also may need to check with ATT regarding your setting to see if there will be any compatibility issues with this type of setting.
Click this
link to get further details from ATT.
Some settings may need information from you ISP Internet Service Provider in order to work with a Router.
I hope that this helps.
Have a nice day,
mvincentc

I have a westell 7500
I believe you type 192.168.1.1 into your browser's address bar, hit enter and you're there. Some say you have to use Internet Explorer (version 5.5 or later), not sure though.
