Can i replace the battery for my philips SA9122

Hello,

its possible for you to change the battery. If the battery is an in-built, you will have the loose/open the player's cover to be able to access the battery.

Also take the battery along as a sample to get another one.

Take care.

Your player doesn't have much space and needs to have some room left to run. here is a link to the Philips site you can download the installation software and probably need to reinstall you software and don;t pack it to the brim after.

Won't turn on

If your Dell Computer is running Windows Vista, it will not work with the Philips HDD series Go Gear.

If it is running Windows XP:
Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

If these methods fail, call Philips to see if you are still in-warranty.

Philips 2GB Go Gear wont upload vidoe

You have to use the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter to convert/transfer videos. If the converter is not recognizing a specific video type - FLV, for instance - download a free program called Riva FLV Encoder and convert the videos to AVI format first. Then the Philips Media Converter will recognize them.

The Philips Media Converter is not capable of converting an entire DVD - you will have to acquire video editing software, and then break up the DVD files into 15-minute chunks, and then convert each chunk.

If you are getting a codec error, do a google search for free video codecs - they are out there. Windows Codec Pack and downloading the latest version of quicktime will give you most of these needed codecs.

This player is not capable of playing copyright-protected videos - so don't even bother with them.

Additional information is available both from Philips website and from Arcsoft's website.

Phllips gogearSA3025/37

There are no proprietary batteries for the Philips SA3025 - if it is not working, and it was purchased within 1 year, call Philips and see if you can get an in-warranty repalcement. If you are out of warranty, the spec sheet and manual on this model lists the generic type of battery that you will need:

Battery capacity: 310mAh
•Battery Type: LI-Polymer

How do you charge a 2bg go gear? trued laptip but

Some slightly older laptops generally do not have enough power to make an mp3 player properly function. Make sure the USB ports on the laptop are USB 2.0. Also, the Go Gear HDD series had a proprietary adapter which required you to plug it into the computer and the wall simultaneously. Do you have the proprietary adapter?

Player Problem, Connect to PC, Start Device Manager

Make sure you are using Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10. If you are using Windows Vista, then the player is not compatible. If you are using Windows Media Player 11 then you will need to uninstall it to roll back to version 10. Problem sounds like one or more system files have been deleted or corrupted on the player, possibly by formatting the player from windows.

Install and run the Philips Device Manager and select the Repair / Restore option. Follow the on-screen prompts. The Device Manager is on the product CD. It should be installed along with the drivers for the player. If you still can't find it, follow this link to download it: http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?scy=GB&slg=ENG&mid=Link_Software&cat=MP3_PLAYERS_CA&sct=HDD_AUDIO_JUKEBOX_SU&grp=PORTABLE_ENTERTAINMENT_GR&session=20080303095703_86.155.41.177&ctn=HDD075/17&dct=FUS&did=ENG&file=/files/h/hdd075_17/hdd075_17_fur_eng.htm

This will format the device and re-load the system files.

ALL FILES WILL BE DELETED FROM THE DEVICE. Back up files before restoring.
