My ipod SA011102S/97 go gear

Hi jesueben,

  • The firmware of your GoGear may be corrupted.
    1. Make sure that your computer is online and connecting to the Internet. Launch the Firmware Manager at Start->Programs->Philips Firmware Manager on your PC
    2. Connect your GoGear to the computer while pressing & holding the 051104154033_4112.gif key until the Firmware Manager recognize the GoGear and a dialogue box pop up in recover mode.
    3. Click Start to confirm and start recovering the unit to its factory setting
IMPORTANT: All music & content of your GoGear Player will be erased once the factory setting is restored.
    4. Follow all screen instructions and click Finish at the end to complete the recovery.
    5. The Firmware manager will close automatically once the success message is displayed. Close all opened application and then safely remove your GoGear by clicking on the EJECT HARDWARE icon in your task tray bar. When prompted, "The USB Mass Storage Device can now be safely removed from the system", click OK and unplug your micro jukebox.

    I formatted my player. Than

This device is only capable of playing MP3 and WMA files. Make sure that the files are in a format that the system can recognize. If that doesn't work, use the software for the device to make sure the firmware is up to date, and not corrupted, and reload the files. Hope this helps!

    Can't install on newer laptop,

    1. With Win7, most of the drivers come with / through OS itself.

visit this page for more details on how to update the drivers.
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isnt-working-properly

    2. Also, what I see from the site is that musicmatch jukebox is useful to put songs in there.

    3. By default, the windows media player recognises the device you plug in automatically (Try changing the device access mode of your player to MTP and then plug it in)

    4. Your player can automatically recognise the songs (so, you can plug it in USB storage mode also and try syncing with the windows media player 12 - click the sync tab on the window)

    5. You may need the latest firmware for your device (CAUTION: update it only after reading the manual carefully, otherwise it may get unusable)

Here are some links for the softwares (from the philips site)
    1. CD contents: http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/s/sa178_17/sa178_17_cdi_aen.zip
    2. Musicmatch juke box (may be obsolete): http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/s/sa178_17/sa178_17_mjs_aen.exe
    3. Frimware upgrade:
    3.1 Readme:http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/s/sa178_17/sa178_17_fur_aen.htm
    3.2 firmware: http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/s/sa178_17/sa178_17_fus_aen.zip

    :)

    Good Luck

I dont no how to put pictures on my go gear vibe

You can simply drag-and-drop pictures to your MP3 players, however you won't be able to display on the provided LCD since this is only an mp3 player. If you want to view pictures you need to connect it to the computer.
